On 05/28/2020 at 10:50 I visited my local Whataburger. When we arrive there was about five cars in the drive thru. By the time I reach the window it was about 11 p.m. a lady came on the speaker and said that they were not taking orders for the next 10 minutes I replied to her and said okay do I just wait here at the speaker or do you want us to park or what should we do we don't mind waiting for 10 mins to order (whataburger is the only food place open in our town at that time besides jack). She stated we could do whatever we want if that's what we wanted to do in a rude attitude way. I asked her if it would be better if we ordered online she stated in a rude way again that we could do whatever we wanted but that they weren't taking orders for 10 minutes I told here it was fine and I would wait the 10 mins. Eventually the cashier came back on the speaker and I was able to place my order at around 11:15 p.m. once I got to the pay window I asked the cashier who was on the speaker earlier she stated that it was the manager, Felicia. I say okay thank you for the information the cashier asked me to park and wait for my order. A few minutes past and Felicia came to my window and in a very rude and aggressive way asked what was the problem (in a way trying to intimate me) I stated to her that I did not have a problem (i was not about to argue with this lady in front of my kids), she handed me my order and walked away. Once home i discovered that on top of the bad customer service both of my meals were wrong (i have pictures to prove it). My chicken sandwich was supposed to have american cheese instead of white cheese and my husband burger was supposed to have no onions and it had onions. Need to NOT talk about some things with a restaurant literally full of customers at the counter waiting to order while they show and make known that they can do & prepare things that no-one else in that building can. They even discussed time of expectancy. As a Manager for over 40 years for two large co. I made myself just stay out of it. Basically NO COACHING, NOT MY BUSINESS & TOO BUSY TO DO THAT AT THAT MOMENT TO TWO WOMEN OF AUTHORITY. I ordered 2 PATTY MELTS. THE BREAD/TOAST IS ALWAYS BURNED. I & my Autistic Son continue to eat there because they are the only store in Cedar Hill. I'm tempted to start driving to Hutchins, TX. THEY ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD SERVRD!♡ LONG DRIVE FOR ME BUT WORTH THE TRIP. CEDAR HILL LOCATION: THERE IS 1 ASSOCIATE/BLACK LADY THAT COMES UP TO MY CHIN THAT IS TALKATIVE, GREETS, CLEANS & HELPS EVERYONE IN THAT BUILDING......(cooks, preparing, taking the food to the tables)...SHE IS WONDERFUL!! I hope I did NOT get her in trouble by talking to her as I ate my meal!! I thought she was on her break, so I struck up a conversation, and me, her & my autistic son ate our meals & enjoyed the cool air and enjoyed talking to each other. UNTIL HER 'LONG LASHES, LIP POOKING OUT', SHIFT SUPERVISOR WALKED UP AND INTERRUPTED HER MEAL! MADE HER WRAP UP HER FOOD, LEAVE IT ON THE TABLE & GO OUTSIDE FOR A 1-ON-1. Read moreTeam leads and managers need customer service training IMMEDIATELY! I first called to see if they were still doing call in orders, they weren’t. Arrived at the restaurant and seen it was 5 cars ahead of me and the speaker wasn’t working so I thought i would be helpful by giving a call to inform that most of my order was chicken and I wanted it fresh and as a previous employee, i know it takes 7 mins. Instead of the gentleman responding with “ ok great thanks for the heads up”, he replied “ basically your telling me your order and I’m not about to do that, you have to place your order at the window as we are making EVERYONE’S ORDER FRESH!” That left a bad taste in my mouth but the cheerful Ms.Jo at the second window with the great customer service left me with a smile. Got home to enjoy my spicy chicken sandwich and it was hard and dried out, not FRESH as they stated it would. Returned to a long line and gave another call to inform as they just did a shift change and a woman told me that she wouldn’t accept a picture of my receipt as i left it home and that she couldn’t bring it to the door for me, i would have to wait in line, not even an apology for a paying customer that was promised fresh food but instead got dried out chicken that was left in the warmer.
