Village Inn — Restaurant in Hutchinson

My food today was worse than usual here. I ordered the V.I.B and here is my feedback...

Toast-too much butter, completely soaked, very inedible.

Eggs-ordered scrambled w cheese inside. Received them with no cheese. When I sent them back they threw cold shredded cheese on the same eggs they originally gave me. Served me the same product twice except this time the eggs were cold w a clump of shredded cheese on top.

Hashbrowns-came out uncooked. Not crispy at all the way they were ordered. I sent them back and they came back petrified. They had obviously put them in the fryer and served them again to me. Soaked in oil and completely inedible.

The bacon was good.

In my opinion this was the worst breakfast I have ever paid for. The restroom had no hand towels or dryer. The waitress would carry the food out on top of her shoulder w her face up against a customer's plate (3 times I witnessed this).

All around just a gross place in my opinion and would never recommend it for someone that actually wants good breakfast food. I enjoy talking with family here, but I wouldn't recommend it for the actual food.

I love village inn very much! But I normally go to the Village Inn in Wichita, but we were visiting family in Hutchinson! With that being said My husband had went in to get my order since we ordered online, and asked for extra crackers! The manager walks by and says excuse me, why do you need extra crackers? My husband in his nicest voice said “because my wife just wanted extra crackers with her salad” she rolled her eyes, and proceeded to stand there and wait for the waitress to come back and the waitress looks at the manager and says “what do I do with these?” She waves her hand in a snarky way at my husband, and says “just give the to him!” With a huge sigh! I know it may seem dramatic but I assure you, it was not provoked in anyway for her to speak nor act the way that she did….it made me sad to see that and experience it, since I love Village Inn :( I will just stick to my normal location, and steer clear of the Hutchinson chain, I do hope that the manager has a better day, and is not so rude the next time a customer comes in, we all have bad days sure, but acting that way towards a customer in the restaurant business, now that’s not...

One person in my party of 8 ordered a sandwich and asked for the bread not to be toasted. We sat at an angle where I could see into the kitchen and hear what cooks and waitresses were talking about. We watched plates of our food being prepared. When the sandwich was placed under the warming lights, our waitress told the cooks that the bread wasn't supposed to be toasted. The waitress reached into an open bag of white sandwich bread with her bare hands, handed two pieces of bread to the cooks and told them it wasn't supposed to be toasted. They changed out the bread and the waitress promptly served the dish to our table. Of course the person who ordered the dish didn't eat the bread because i told them what was happening while it was occurring. The waitress then went and cashed out another customer using the same bare hands she had used to replace the bread on my daughters plate. Unacceptable behavior, unclean...
