Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Hutchinson

We stopped by the drive through today since our dogs were with us. We asked for two plain meat Pattie’s and the staff person was very accommodating. She was very pleasant and efficient. That being said, the food left a lot to be desired. I bit into my burger and got a mouth full of some sort of paper. When I opened it to examine, I found the burger patty to be gray and unappealing. It had the appearance of having been steamed or microwaved, no caramelization whatsoever ever. The fries were “meh”. Dogs thought everything was Ok, they got it all!. First bad experience at a Daity Queen...

The food just wasn't as good as other DQ locations and since I consider them a bit higher priced then bigger fast food chains I expect it to be better. I only gave this DQ 4 stars *when really I would only give 2) is because the man working the drive through window was out if this works friendly, funny, and went out of his way to help me get where I was going since I'm new to Kansas and my phone was dead so I could not use my navigation. Thank you again for that! I'll be back another day and see if the cook was just having a "off" night with his cooking lol. I think a second chance...

I go here somewhat regularly. And the staff is usually kind. Today, the guy working the drive through around 12:40, was incredibly rude. His tone made everything sound like an inconvenience. And when I asked for my items to be in a drink carrier, he nodded, shut the window. And then handed me my items without the carrier. Then when I asked again, he sighed very loud and didn’t come back for several minutes.

I get that work can be stressful when it is busy. But you have to work with a smile.

Just disappointed that that was the attitude everyone...
