A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Hutchinson

This place is a travesty! On two separate occasions, months apart, I attempted to come here for just a root beer float. One of their main selling points. The 1st time, I pull up to the drive thru and sit there for close to 5 minutes, no one responds to me. So I pull up to the window and it takes another several minutes for anyone to acknowledge me even though I can plainly see an employee. I attempt to order a root beer float and they come back more than 5 minutes after that saying they need to make more mix and asked if I would like something else. Ummm no, I came here specifically for that. I end up waiting 20 more minutes. I got a text for a free root beer float for signing up for the members club. I reluctantly come back to get the free float. I go inside to order this time and they tell me they have no ice cream, that they have to make it! Whaaaaaat TF? I said how long does that take? They said an hour. I said I will come back. One hour later I come back it's still not done. Then I say I will wait. I try to pay with the QR code for the free float. They tell me they can't scan those! While I was waiting I also heard people trying to order other things in the drive thru and then telling people we don't have this, don't have that. This place just needs to throw in the towel and shut down. Worst fast food place I've ever been to. And there's some real bad ones out there so that's...

Went to A & W on 4-21-21 @ 5:20 PM thru the drive thru. Was told I would have to wait for another 5 min due to fish coming out of the fryer. Instructed to pull out in the parking lot and park in the area I was instructed to pull into. I parked and waited at least 15 to 20 min and still no food. I walked up close to the drive thru window to see what was going on, still no food for another 5 to 10 min, and the drive thru line was growing to at least 7 to 10 cars cars in the line. Finally a waitress came out and brought us our food. She said the order was correct, which it wasn't, it was lacking the side I had ordered. And she said that the fryer had broke down and sorry for the inconvenience. Got home and the fish was all dried out and was like shoe leather, no sides and my hamburger bun was blackened on the top and bottom. The fries were all dried out and cold. Why couldn't the employees be truthful with their customers. I would have gladly liked my money back and would have went somewhere else. I waited for 15 minutes at the speaker with 2 cars in front of me. I placed my order and finally crept to the window after almost half an hour. There's no way to leave the line, so you're stuck. I get to the window and the person at the window as terribly rude. I waited at the window for 27 minutes. When I'm handed my food, it was shoved towards me. I had said nothing about how long my wait was or how the window person behaved l. Our food was all cold and our drinks weren't even filled up. This has happened the last 3 times.
