Bruh, let me break it down for you — Deep Purpl - Acai Bowls is not your typical spot. This place transcends the ordinary in ways you don’t even expect. From the second you walk in, you feel like you’ve entered a space dedicated to health, wellness, and pure satisfaction. The vibe? It’s like a perfect harmony between calm and energy, a place that makes you feel good about what you're about to experience. You know how sometimes you just know something special is about to happen? Yeah, it was exactly like that.
Now, let’s talk about that Deep Purple Acai Smoothie. This wasn’t just some smoothie — it was a whole experience in itself, like a journey for your taste buds. Each layer of acai, granola, and that rich chocolate hazelnut topping? It’s like they blended indulgence and nutrition into one perfectly crafted moment. You take a sip, and it’s like reading a good book that gets better with every page. The flavors come together like a well-written novel, each ingredient playing its part in the story. It’s decadent but healthy, and the texture? Impeccable. You feel like you’re treating yourself, but you know it’s good for your body and your soul. It’s an elevated experience, like eating with both your heart and mind.
And don’t even get me started on the empanadas. Bro, they’re like little pockets of culinary genius. Take the Malbec Beef empanada, for instance. That slow-roasted shredded beef, simmered in a red wine reduction with onions, carrots, and rosemary — it’s like a flavor explosion that’s been building up for hours. Each bite was like appreciating a masterpiece, a perfect balance of rich, savory flavors that makes you pause and really savor the moment. Then there’s the Bacon, Dates & Goat Cheese empanada. The crispy bacon with the sweetness of the dates and that tangy goat cheese? Pure fire. It’s like the best of both worlds, sweet and savory all in one. And don’t sleep on the Spinach & Cheese one either—creamy, smooth, with that bechamel sauce mixed with mozzarella, it’s comfort wrapped in pastry.
Here’s what makes Deep Purpl stand out: they’ve mastered the art of combining flavor and wellness. It’s not just about eating; it’s about nourishing your body and your mind. Every bite feels intentional, like they’ve thought about how the flavors and the health benefits come together. They’ve figured out how to create food that makes you feel good on every level. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a whole experience that leaves you feeling enriched, not just full.
Cristiana, the supervisor, is always there to help you through it all, making sure your experience is top-notch. She knows her stuff and makes the whole thing feel easy and enjoyable. Whether you're loading up your bowl with every topping like I did, or savoring those empanadas, she’s right there making sure everything is on point.
So yeah, Deep Purpl isn’t just a spot to grab some quick food. It’s an experience that touches on health, flavor, and mindfulness, all rolled into one. You leave feeling like you made a solid decision for your body and soul. If you're looking for a place where indulgence meets wellness, this is it. Trust me, this spot makes you feel like you’ve truly elevated your whole...
Read moreI gave this location in Hyde Park 1 star because I couldn't rate them any lower. The customer service at this location in the morning is HORRIBLE. You walk in and the employee is ALWAYS on her phone. The music is way too loud where you have to shout your order. Let's go back to the customer service. I've placed my order online and EVERY TIME there's an issue. I love almond butter, just not when it's cold. I've opted out adding the butter as a topping inside and ask the clerk to add some on top. The first time she told me that I would have to pay extra. I explained to her my reasoning and she suggested I add notes to my order. I obliged, however the next time I ordered, no butter. I asked her to add some, she huffed and puffed and said that I needed to add the notes. I pointed out the notes, and she said, "must have been an oversight." The third time, same thing, the she blamed not seeing my notes because the ordering system was down. "Really?,so how did you make my order?" Which brings me to today. Place order, added notes, still NO ALMOND BUTTER! I kindly asked her, "are you doing this on purpose?" She then began to make up excuses and I pointed out that this is the fourth time within 10 days that you have done this." When I asked for a manager, she told me that she was the manager. Tragic! She went on to say that say that I had to add almond butter as a topping and then leave my notes saying to put the butter on top. I said, "clearly, you're not reading the notes, so why would I add almond butter as a topping?" She proceeded to call another manager and he didn't answer, so she was able to contact another manager where she clearly lied on me to cover herself and every time I tried to speak with the person on the phone she would overtalk and yell so that the person couldn't hear me. Don't worry about it, I'll keep my money in my pocket to avoid this type of repeated foolery. Customer service training is needed at this...
Read moreTerrible Customer Service – Rude & Unprofessional Staff
I visited Deep Purpl – Hyde Park on March 14, 2025, and had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. I placed my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting over an hour. When I finally received my order, it was wrong, despite me explaining my request clearly when I ordered.
When I politely tried to clarify that my order was incorrect, the staff member became rude and dismissive instead of helping. She talked down to me, saying I didn’t even know what I ordered and acting like it was my fault. When I asked for a refund, she ignored me completely and refused to give me the manager’s contact information. Then, when I pushed back on getting what I actually paid for, she started snapping at me, raising her voice, and making me feel like I was the problem.
At this point, I was beyond frustrated. I had already been patient, waited over an hour, and simply wanted what I paid for. Instead of fixing the issue, she continued to argue with me and dismissed my concerns like my money didn’t matter.
The fact that I paid $27 for the wrong order and was treated this way is completely unacceptable. If this is how Deep Purpl allows their staff to treat paying customers, I will never return. If you expect respect, good service, or basic professionalism, take your...
