This is the best Harold's Chicken in the City...hands-down!!! They had to switch locations temporarily while their new one is being prepared but the quality of the food has not suffered. They are currently located next to the petrol station on 87th and State street. I really appreciate being able to place my order and pay using the convenient kiosk. However, there is a cashier available should you prefer the personal touch and don't mind waiting in line. The 1/2 dark with mild sauce and lemon pepper was fresh, hot, crispy and seasoned just right! The white bread, toasted by the hot chicken being placed on top of it, along with the hot fries, hits the spot every time. I also get 2 pickled jalapeños with my chicken dinner...YUM! The tiny, complimentary cole slaw is never enough for me, so I order a half pint size. It is creamy, crunchy, and sweet...Delicious! A perfect pairing with the savory chicken. You choose how you want your dinner. Like just wings? Order a wings dinner. Want sauce in the side? They can do that. Ketchup and black pepper? Ok. Only eat white meat? Choose all white. Want a mixture? Get a 1/2 mixed dinner. Only want 1/4(2- piece)? They offer it. Need a bucket or pan for a large gathering? Please place your order in advance for fresh food without the long wait. There are plenty of drinks to choose from and the counter display refrigerator offers many sweet treats for dessert. From banana pudding to butter cookies and homemade pound cake. I only get to have this one or two times a year and I choose this location over most others. If you are in the mood for tasty fried chicken and don't need the frills, get to Harold's on 87th Street. I was looking forward to this food all day and I’m extremely upset with the service I received. First of all, I placed my order to be picked up at 10pm. It was a 8 wing with two sauces on the side. Simple right? I guess not. One would assume that means the order wouldn’t be made until near the pickup time the customer selects. I literally walked in AT 10pm on the dot and was told that my food had been sitting there for awhile. I then told the lady that well I placed my order to be picked up at 10pm which is SHOWS on the receipt. She told me it was still a little warm but she then asked the guy in the back if he had 8 wings he could make and he acted like it was a problem and he couldn’t do it. I’m not the type to be a difficult customer or make a scene and she told me it was warm so I just let it go. I get home and my food is ICE COLD. THEN on top of that they didn’t even put my two sauces in the bag. So I paid nearly 25 bucks for ice cold chicken and couldn’t even get the sauces I paid for. What is the purpose of selecting a pickup time if you’re going to completely disregard it and make the meal way earlier when you feel like it to just get it out the way from what it seems. My food had to have been sitting for at least 20 plus minutes for how cold it was. I’m extremely upset. I’ll know next time to just be the difficult costumer who pushes the issue if I ever even decide to come here again to...

I will be simple and direct. This restaurant (located next to Shell Gas station) has an overall poor service. The orders are not taken properly, the person in charge is not a professional, and the cook travels from the kitchen to the outside of the establishment to converse with guest and smoke cigarettes at the entry. My order was close to a $100.00 dollars, there was an error in communication between staff causing my order to be delayed for 30 mins. I asked the cashier and manager for a refund but was met with resistance. It was explained to me that the order was not processed and will take an additional 15 mins to cook. I agreed to wait 15 mins but ended up waiting an additional 30 mins. My wait time was approximately 76 min. I asked for a refund and was told that my order is almost complete and would not receive a refund. Not to make things worse, the chicken was cooked in the same grease as Fish wish caused an allergic reaction to an adult and child. I nor several friends, family and colleagues would not advise nor order from this establishment again....

First I don’t like giving bad reviews but I should have know something was wrong ordering online and it was ready in about 10-15 minutes. I ordered two extra sides of mild sauce , gave a tip , it was not a freshly cooked ordered, you can tell it was refried or it’s old and been sitting, as high as food is, why would people do things like this to people’s orders, thus is not good customer service and I’m pretty sure if the shoe was on the other foot they would feel the same way. I understand mistakes can happen but at the expense of how high food is and the health of a customer , it is not right or professional. It has me feeling sick to my stomach and the money I spent. This needs to be discussed and changes made immediately.

First I don’t like giving bad reviews but I should have know something was wrong ordering online and it was ready in about 10-15 minutes. I specifically said do not fry hard , lemon pepper and mild sauce. None! I ordered two extra sides of mild sauce , gave a tip , it was not a freshly cooked ordered, you can tell it was refried or it’s old and been sitting, as high as food is, why would people do things like this to people’s orders, thus is not good customer service and I’m pretty sure if the shoe was on the other foot they would feel the same way. I understand mistakes can happen but at the expense of how high food is and the health of a customer , it is not right or professional. It has me feeling sick to my stomach and the money I spent. This needs to be discussed and changes made immediately.

It has no dedicated server there to acknowledge pick ups and disburse them. Only when the main cashier isn't busy, will she choose to meander somewhat near this window where at which point if you were in any kind of a line is no longer relevant. Whoever can throw their phone up to the window screen first to show her their pick up details will get attention. Needless to say, I won't be back. But hopefully this gives you pause on ever placing a pick up order at this location.
