I visited with my son and we had a great time. We tried both savory and sweet choices.
Savory I ordered the chicken pot pie, which comes with a biscuit as the crust and a savory soup. The soup was good and had large chunks of chicken meat, very filling. The biscuit isn’t a standard biscuit, it had some herbs in it. I wished the biscuit had a bolder taste.
My son ordered the tuna sandwich. I normally don’t like tuna salad or sandwiches but I did take a bite and I kind of wished I had ordered the sandwich instead. It came with a side salad and my son thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sweet
We got a slice of peach pie with salted caramel, a cinnamon roll, and a lavender and lemon cookie. That cookie, wow!!! I tried a piece right before eating my food and immediately ordered another one. The cookies are huge and the lemon is present without being overwhelming. The lavender in the cookie was very nice and compliments the lemon. Probably the best presentation of lavender in a dessert I have ever had.
The peach pie is solid but I wanted it to have more peaches. That cinnamon roll is crazy good and huge. The texture is really nice, lighter than a regular cinnamon roll and the icing is delicious. I was sneaking pieces of it at home when my son wasn’t looking.
The space is super cute. I grew up in Chatham so it was nice to see the old building be repurposed. There isn’t a ton of seating so you could dine with a group but there is a table in the back that you might be able to used.
The cashier was so sweet, very personable. All around great experience. I will be heading back, I need...
Read moreI am in support of this Black Owned Business!!! We are so quick to judge harshly and count each other out, just looking for a reason to not support. You all wonder why other cultures and races don't support or respect us because look how we treat one another. We complain about quality ok give her another chance a 2nd and even 3rd chance (How many times have you given McD, Chixk fa who, ect 50 chances and you still risking your life giving chances.) Then we complain about the prices. You know how much eggs and butter cost for your house so why did you think it was going to cost you $1.99 for a slice of pie. Not to mention black Businessee do not get a tax break, incentives and have to pay 5x higher than their counterparts. The black community I am so ashamed of you. Let's do better and support this black business. If it wasn't right when you got it, go in directly or call her and tell her your concerns and do it with respect. Let's treat each other better. I'll be to see you this week and I'm going to tell all of my friends about you. If you read my long post, spread the word and stop by. Oh because I know how we are. No this busines owner do not know me, I have never been on yet because I just saw her in my FYP. So see you soon...
Read moreFirst time patronizing this establishment I got a good review from a co-worker. The atmosphere is nice in the restaurant and is very clean, well lit, has tables to sit and a bathroom. Customer service was excellent. If you get a quiche it's a little bit of a wait it took about 15 to 20 minutes for my quiche. I got the spinach bacon quiche, the lemon lavender cookie, oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and a peanut butter cookie. I also got a slice of the salted caramel peach pie and a strawberry ginger lemonade. My favorite thing was the lemon lavender cookie and second up will be the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. For my piece of pie the crust at the bottom was a little soggy. Me personally I like a little bit of a more solid crispier crust. The quiche was fair not something I will get again. The strawberry ginger lemonade was refreshing. So I came, I ate, I saw and...
