Overall this is a great establishment. Attended a wedding reception here; the space is beautiful, food is decent, and most of the staff is nice. However I had to remove 2 stars due to one of the serving staff being inobservant and very rude. This was only one individual, but I wasn't able to complain to management, so I'll leave it here. During dinner, the first course served was soup. Our wedding table nametags were clearly labeled with what meal we should be served. This server handed out soup to myself and my SO. We proceeded to eat the soup, and this server came back and grabbed the bowls of soup from underneath us, as I literally had a spoonful of soup lifted up to my face no less, and said the soup was only for adult meals. Our tags were clearly labeled with adult meals and in view of the server. Then she also had to be corrected in giving my brother soup because he too had an adult meal, and she without checking the tag, gave him a kids fruit bowl. Her negligence didn't stop there: later, as dinner wine was being served, she proceeded to give the 2 other adults at our table wine, and purposely skipped over myself and my SO, even though we had adults meals. We're both 23 years old, and I understand from looking at us that our age is ambiguous, but the proper thing to do is to ask. Made evident by a different server who served the champagne for wedding toasts who simply asked us to clarify our age and we had no problems. But this server again had to be flagged down to come serve us wine, and before we could say anything she said, "but you're both teenagers right?", she said this in a VERY condescending tone, and both the 2 other adults at the table, plus myself and my partner had to correct her. She was clearly disgruntled by this mistake and the previous one, and deliberately poured very small amounts (smaller than a standard pour) of wine for both of our glasses. Our entire experience with this server was very insulting and left a bad taste in my mouth. But thank God for the very kind and accommodating bar staff! With that being said, the rest of the establishment and staff was...
Read moreMy daughter and son-in-law recently hosted their wedding at the Quad Club. From start to finish, the event was spectacular! Rehearsal dinner for 20 was held in a private meeting room, with service and food impeccable. The wedding was officiated in the Library, appointed with GORGEOUS velvet-cushioned chairs amidst book-case lined walls, providing a stately and comfortable atmosphere as the late afternoon autumn sunlight streamed through the lead-glass windows. After vows, all processed to the gorgeous great hall that overlooked the clay tennis courts to mix and mingle while drinking cocktails and taking "photo-booth" shots. Dinner was next in the ballroom, starting with a flashy and fun entrance/introduction of the wedding party. Our 115 guests enjoyed a sumptuous 5-course sit-down meal, served between rounds of speeches: 3 courses, 3 speeches; then final courses and cake cutting, final speeches; all with toasts interspersed. Then dancing! I highly recommend anyone to hold their wedding event at the Quad Club! It was a weekend to remember. (BTW,there are guest rooms for out of towners and street parking was easy to find,...
Read moreAt the suggestion of a family member, I called to inquire about availability during our upcoming visit to Chicago. Trelinda, a woman with the loveliest demeanor of all times, welcomed our questions and made us feel at home. We immediately reserved rooms, trusting that we would have a first class experience....AND WE DID!!! The rooms are elegantly furnished with European Old World Inspiration. Fireplace, furnished library, were among the ample amenities included. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our every need.
The lovely GiGi (pictured here) went above and beyond to deliver optimal service. We just love her to pieces!
