Really nice atmosphere and I loved the band that played Friday night. The veggie tacos were delicious. The drinks were way over priced. A friend of mine order a beer, glass wine and Malibu was $34. The average in a bar in the area would have been at the most $22. They handled the money, food and drinks with out washing their hands. Guest were waiting a long time for drinks averaging 20-25 minutes. They were taking food/drink orders and delivering to the wrong tables. The service was very questionable. My advice

1. Hire experienced staff
2. Waitresses need to work the tables
3. Good customer service is a must
4. Owner should be greeting the guest and making sure they are being accommodated. 04/08 In response to your recent post. The daughter was the only person that provided great service with a smile. Yes the 4 drinks were delivered to the table 25 minutes later and they were missing the cranberry juice. I was charged for 5 drinks instead of 4. I started to walk away and I then noticed I was overcharged. If I didn’t address the problem I wouldn’t have gotten my refund. I had to walk the owner through the calculation of $7.50 X 4 is not $41 before she finally got it. As a business owner it's sad you respond negatively instead of learning from what's posted and attempt to do better. So today I went to Some Like it Black with a group of my co-workers. When we arrived we all came with the intention to order their jerk chicken tacos. Before arriving we called to inform them that we was coming with a large party for the jerk chicken tacos and was told they could accommodate. As we were in line to order tacos we was told that they was unable to make anymore jerk chicken tacos so some of the worker was forced to order other options. Right after our group ordered our tacos a group of caucasian women walked in and wanted to order some jerk chicken taco as well and they was able to accommodate them right after they told us they didn't have anymore jerk chicken, mined you we are all black. Then once we order they did not give us all out tacos and when we informed them that we was missing 1 taco they acted as if we was lying about the taco. We even show them our reciept. The tacos had little to no meat on them. They was not welcoming to our group at all but our Caucasian counterparts received a different treatment and they are extremely over priced for the size of the tacos. Tiny, yet cozy. Super slow service. Drinks take forever. Also, each time my husband and I bought the same drinks, we were quoted and paid a different price! Drinks went from 7.50 and ended at 10.00! And with no explaination or apology. My family member had a oarty there and he made it a better time, hence 3 stars. I imagine good entertainment in general, will take the focus off the bad service. Otherwise, 0 stars!!! In my opinion, at least one of the ladies on staff is "bad for business", but, who cares what I think? Lol Tacos 2 for $6....
