Golden Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Worse place to ever patronize and I say that based on my personal experience after spending a lot of money purchasing food from there twice, my first bad experience was after buying an order of mushrooms, a couple of pizza puffs and a gyro from this place and eating it at home I began to noticed that the fried mushrooms and pizza puffs tasted like they've been fried in old grease and they've blatantly put old brown lettuce on my gyro after the fact that I was a customer and spent a lot of money with them and then my second bad experience was in December last year when I was trying to place an order for four chicken legs but the restaurant owner worker recommended a chicken leg special which wasn't what I wanted and told him that I didn't but he insisted that I buy that instead saying that I would save money by buying that so I took his word for it but after getting home to eat I noticed that instead of chicken legs he gave me chicken drumsticks which smelled spoiled and like burnt grease so I called him up complaining about those issues and he lied to me saying that he did give me chicken legs instead of drumsticks and denied that the food was spoiled and cooked in old grease so I hung up on him and reported his business to the board of health and decided not to trust buying cooked food...

Golden Fish is good, but damn, they're expensive. That's why I won't go in too often. I love their chopped steak and Italian beef sandwiches. They cook to order, so that's why your order can take a while sometimes. Also, the polish sausage is pretty good too. The fries are ok, but not as good as Arby's, McDonald's or Checkers. The only 🐟 that I've had is catfish and l like the steaks more than the filets. However, l just went in and was disappointed with the gyro cheeseburger. The bread broke up and there wasn't enough gyro on my cheeseburger. Very disappointing. Might be trying to skimp on the ingredients. Be careful. So, on the whole l like Golden, but...

I last visited Golden's Fish 3 years ago until this past Saturday and I was not disappointed. The order taker was courteous and helpful. My catfish dinner was well prepared and delicious and " hit the spot ".The prices are reasonable, there's a good selection of desert cakes,banana pudding,etc.They also have chicken , wings & sandwiches. Waiting time for my carry out order was about 10 minutes. My only regret 😤 is that l don't live closer. Next door is a well stocked Family...
