I turned to Sarah Kuenyefu Collection for a very special dress — my “mother of the groom” dress for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding day. I could have shopped anywhere, but I wanted a dress made for my body so that I could feel 101% comfortable all day —no adjusting, no fixing, no tugging that is custom with off-the-rack pieces for me. I also appreciated that I would get the expert eye of a designer and would be spending my money with a woman of color in a community of color, both important priorities for me. The decision was perfect. My dress was terrific, I felt good and even after the photo sessions, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and dancing rigorously (yep, I did the percolator and all kinds of line dances), I had no signs of dress fatigue.
