This was the first time that I've been to Tony's in quite some time, and it was interesting. After getting a recommendation, l ordered the taco (5) special (beef) for $7.00. It's very good. They were well done, not greasy, and very tasty. You'll have to supply your own taco sauce or salsa, though. The reason that my rating is not higher is because of Tony, at least I think it's him. Older guy with glasses 🤓. He wasn't very personable, especially after l criticized him for over taxing me. He wouldn't even LOOK at me. I should have received $.35 back. Seven dollars should have amounted to $.65 in taxes. I suspect he does this to everyone who comes in to buy his food. I'm fed up with businesses that does this. Bronzeville is a low income area. We need to stretch our money 💰 as much as possible. With that in mind, pay attention to the tax he adds to your orders. Also, I've experienced this at other places as well. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I walked in and there was an older guy at the register. He asked what I would like to order. I started by can I have 5 steak tacos as I was looking at the menu. To see what all they had to offer being my first time there. He then felt fine with saying "Well thats enough for you young lady, we close in 5mins." and proceed to ring me out. Mind you I have a family of 4 to feed with only 5 tacos. Also dry, greasy and no salsa or nothing for them. Then I'm thinking ok their closing in 5 mins he's going to lock the door and let me out. That is not at all what he did.
