AJ's Kitchen — Restaurant in Idabel

This was the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had in my life. The staff was at first very nice. But upon realizing they didn’t have anything on the menu I could eat they turned extremely rude. I offered to at least pay for the drinks I had ordered and they turned that into a nightmare.

The drinks cost $2.50 and they couldn’t run a credit card for orders under $5. Something they didn’t disclose until I got to the register. The only cash I had on me was $2. And when I let the women at the register know this the attitude she already had worsened. She literally shood me away with her hands and told me to take the drinks because I had already taken a drink out of it. I asked for my money back in exchange for them keeping the drinks. But NOPE I just kept being told I could take the drinks. And was eventually shood out of the restaurant.

Me and my husband went in and the moment we sit down they're practically rushing us to hurry up and order coming every minute asking "are you ready to order yet?" My salad had small bugs in it, and I waited 10 minutes for a refill on my glass. There was only 2 other customers in the restaurant and the waitress sat to the side watching everyone, so it wasn't that hard to see, but hey she might have been preoccupied waiting for the regulars' orders to come out to be worried about a new customer. When taking our orders, the other waitress asked my husband his, he told her, then she tries to grab both our menus and walk off without even asking me what my order was. This place is amazing. And inexpensive. Best of all, you can get everything from Asian Food to (almost) Fine Dining here, with options ranging from Mongolian Beef to Ribeye, Cajun Shrimp Pasta to New York Strip, even Reuben Sandwiches to Pho!... And it's ALL GOOD. I am from a large metro area and traveled to Idabel for work for a month- since discovering AJ's I eat there virtually every day, and will miss it greatly when this job is over! So if you are looking for a good local place, forget about Dashing something- fast food sucks, and AJ will hook you up with delicious food cheap that's worth the trip...
