This place used to be a lot better. I had not been in here for about a year and I had some guests from out-of-town, so we went to Mongolian Grill. We got there at 10:46am and they do not open until 11am. So we killed time for a while at the Dollar Tree right next door. Came back at 11:36am and they were STILL NOT OPEN! So we went to the mall across the street for an hour and then came back. WOW, was I ever sorry we did come back. They were very rude to us and when we got to our table, it was filthy. The entire place looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The carpet is stained and had crumbs and a cigarette butt on the floor. And this place had been open for LESS THAN AN HOUR! The whole place smelled like something was rotting and the chairs where sticky. Myself and my guests have already waited TWICE to get some food, and now this place was so dirty that we had to leave and go find food someplace else. Needless to say, NONE of us were happy about lunch that day! I am not sure what has happened because this place used to be clean and well maintained, and it was actually open when it said it was open. Maybe they got new owners? Maybe the old owners handed this down to their kids? Maybe they sold out to a new group? It's difficult to imagine what could have happened to turn such a good restaurant into such a filthy, rude, horrible...
Read moreWas so excited to find this place! Having never been before, my friend and I went, excited to try this place. We looked for a sign with prices and did not find one. So our waitress told us to help ourselves. We grabbed small bowls to sample the noodles and toppings/sauces and ate them. The food wasn't great. It was too saturated with water and oil and the flavors were pretty bland. Once we had had those, we returned, thinking it was like most Mongolian places and an all you can eat. We tried to jazz up the bowls a little better this time so they might taste better. The cook then asked if it was our first time in as they cooked our second bowl. When we told him yes, he told us it was not all you can eat and that was a common misconception. So we disappointedly ate our expensive second bowls and the cook told us not to worry about it. Then our waitress went ahead and charged us more than double anyways. She only checked on us twice from the time we were seated. Once to deliver our check and a second time to change the prices on our ticket. Needless to say, the food was not great and we were not impressed with the lack of service and communication with prices and trips through the noodle bar. Do NOT recommend and will...
Read moreWe are regulars here, but tonight was definitely our last time coming to this restaurant. We came in for dinner and there was only one other table sat when we got there. We loaded up our bowls and stood at the grill for about 3 or 4 minutes watching the cooks stand on their phones in the back room. They finally noticed we were there after the waitress hollered to them, and one of the cooks brought his phone out of the back room with him. As if it wasn’t bad enough that he took his phone out onto the cooking area without sanitizing his hands before grabbing our food, he continued to scroll one handed while cooking our food with his other hand. At one point he even reached his arm across the grill to show the other cook whatever he was looking at on the phone screen. I’ve never been so shocked by the unprofessionalism at a restaurant before! Both cooks continued walking around on their phones after cooking our food, and I watched them carry their phones into and out of the bathroom and then go and cook people’s food without sanitizing their hands...
