Java Espress — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

Update: The owner replied to my rating saying that they were sorry for the bad experience, and the GM would contact me. That has yet to happen, further proving my point that this location doesn't care about customer service............................ Coffee places like this are generally kind of expensive when compared to other drinks. It is what it is, and the people (like myself) that visit these places know this. With this knowledge also comes the realization that Idaho Falls is getting more and more competition for drinks. I usually go to a place up the street, but decided I would try this place out because we happened to be at a store in the same area. I ordered 2 drinks, paid, and went on my way. I ordered a milky way mocha, and a vanilla javacinno. The mocha was literally so bad, I turned around from being half way down 17th st to come back complain. The guy who was at the window looked at me like I had a third eyeball when I told him the drink had no flavor, and was terrible. Those simplel words were too much for him, and he had me repeat what made the drink bad. Still, he didn't understand. I saw the two ladies inside the shack look at him, he said something, then they both looked at me as if I shouldn't dare to question their superior barista skills. The one making the coffee added something, stirred the drink and gave it back to me. Now the drink tasted like 2 shots of caramel and nothing else. I was asked if it tasted ok, I said yes, and drove away. If the drink was bad, first of all, they should have remade it. Lets be honest here, with 2 of these expensive locations within a mile of each other, they can afford the $.25 to remake the coffee. Secondly, an apology would have also been nice. Instead I was met with blank stares and bewilderment that someone had the gall to question their coffee materpiece. There are 3 other coffee places on 17th st alone, and soon to be a 4th. There is absolutely no reason to ever come back to this location. Its a pain to get in and out of unless you already happen to be in this plaza, and secondly, there are just way too many choices. I do a lot of reviews, both good and bad. I am not one of those people that only review when an experience has gone bad. I also know tons of locals go here, and my one review isn't going to make a bit of difference. But if an out of towner that is looking for a great place to get a coffee, perhaps my reviews will sway them from coming here, and trying literally anywhere else. I never had a problem with my order at the location by big lots. But the one in the shopping center with little Caesars it's always something. After my experience this morning they probably ruined java for me in general. Not one of my orders were right even after they asked me again for reassurance. I asked for a medium drink and they gave me a small. All they did to fix that drink was put more ice, so now my drink tastes water down and disgusting to me. On top of that I'm not a fan of mocha but they still made me a mocha after they offered to make it a "white coffee". The other drink I asked with the works in it and gave me plain Jane. I know java you have to request the cream cheese IN the bagel if you want it in there. I'm a person where my time is valuable so I always request the cream cheese in it already...but they didn't do that. Do better on LISTENING to you customers with their requests and more if they weren't asking for too much. Luckily you didn't ruin my day but definitely...

I got the white pumpkin with oatmilk and I could barely taste any flavor. The first time my drink was made I happened to look over and saw cow milk put in my drink so I kept watching to see if that was for the other car....to my dismay that was my drink so i said that has oatmilk right? And she turned around to remake it lol. This is after waiting at least 20 minutes with two cars in front of me lol. And each car only ordered 2 drinks lol. The girls are nice but service was soooooo slow. I could have driven across town to my usual Broadway java and would've been out of there by time I got my drink from this location. Make sure you verify your drinks especially if you have a dairy allergy if you go to this location.

Also this building is in a terrible location lol I stopped here because its omw home but I don't think I'll be coming here again. Too slow and with that mishap I have...
