UPDATE: As you can see, my point about the store doing nothing and just referring you to Sleep Number Customer service in their comments below. Well, I tried calling again just to see what happens. All I got was the we are experiencing longer than normal wait times. You can expect hold time of over a hour" This is terrible customer service. In my 30 years in retail, we reached out to the unhappy customer, not the other way around.
The sales experience was ok and the gentlemen that installed the bed and have come out several times on service calls are nice professional employees, this bed is junk. $7,000 worth of junk. This is not our first Sleep Number and we had no problems with our first one that we had for over 15 years. The store can't do anything about problems other than refer you to the customer service number. They have not been able to figure out why the underbed lighting comes on when we get in the bed, goes out in 10 minutes and then comes back on whenever you move in the bed. While this sounds like a minor inconvenience, imagine someone turning on your bedroom lights everytime you move just a little in the bed. Over and over all night long. Then no sleep data records for that day. One customer service representative actually told us to just disable this feature. No, we are aging and need the lighting for safety. We paid for this feature and it should work properly. There must be a book of customer service contact records in my name regarding this bed. I have spent hours on the phone trying to resolve this problem yet it still persists. Sleep Number has thrown a bunch of parts at this bed but there is obviously a wiring issue somewhere. A real company would have replaced this lemon. Not impressed with Sleep Number beds anymore or the customer service we have received on this one. It will definitely...
Read moreBeware of sales person MATTHEW. He told us there was a ONE time home delivery fee that would be non refundable if we didn't like the bed in the 100 day trial. I didn't like the bed so I returned it. When the people came to pick it up I had it ready to go for them. They didn't even come into my house. I got a bill for $500 for the home delivery fee AND the pick up fee. I should also mention he told me that I could exchange if I want to but didnt mention I would be charged a home delivery fee again. And he really encouraged us to buy the base, not telling us that the base was non refundable (thank goodness we did not purchase the base)
All in all, sales people should really go over the contract with you and not pressure you to sign before reading it. (Thanks Matthew)
I understand you're people who need to make money from your sales but in this economy you would probably want the full details if there were hundreds of dollars in hidden fees.
Finally, the mattress sucked. Really expensive air matress. Save yourself $3000 and buy one on Amazon for $600. Free delivery, free returns. No...
Read moreSleep number Ammon Idaho can't make money on their beds, so they soak you on delivery and returns. I'm disabled, and a Veteran. My wife recently had a hip surgery. I even tried to add room on my Synchrony account, and it went into Sleep numbers, thus we had no way to replace this bed and were left without one. Uncaring. Richard is not honest. The California King model is like two twin beds pushed together. If I wanted this type of set-up, I would have asked for it. Richard knew the issues I have had, and he still sells me a bed I can't use. Sleep comfortably on. I even came to their store to try this bed out before delivery, and they didn't have one available. Hmm, should have known, they were pulling one over on me. Sad really when you consider this. After my return, I'm charged five hundred dollars for set-up and return. You have to be very careful with this company and its policies. Pro company, not concerned about buyer....
