We were down the road at Flying Pie for dinner tonight. We wanted a sweet treat so we stopped into Stella's. I have been to their Fairview location and had their dairy free Irish cream coffee ice cream a while back. It was so good so I knew I was going to get something good again. I appreciate that this ice cream joint has so many dairy free options. And they aren't basic options. Every option they had on the board sounded tasty! My family and I checked out the menu while the sweet gal behind the counter helped the other guests that showed up right before us. While we were waiting i was checking out the shop. I love how fun this venue is. I adore all the fun pictures they have on the back wall. It's so charming and colorful. It was finally our turn to get our goodies! I asked the gal if I can get a kids portion. She didn't hesitate and said yes. My fluid restriction doesn't allow me to get these big scoops so it was nice to be able to get a small portion. I got the dairy free chocolate oreo. The last scoop I had was in a little cup. Today I was offered a tiny sugar cone! My scoop was so dainty and cute! It was almost too cute to eat. My husband got a cookie dough shake and my daughter also got a kid's scoop of rocky road. She was too full from dinner so eat a regular scoop. Mannnnn was my ice cream legit! It was so creamy and chocolatey. It had a generous amount of oreo in it. I don't know what kind of base they use but I tasted a hint of coconut. The sugar cone was the perfect addition to the ice cream. The whole thing was killer! My husband didn't share a drop of his shake with me, it was that good. My daughter enjoyed her rocky road. She said it was the right amount. This little ice cream shop is so cute. They push out such great ice cream. I appreciate all the fun dairy free options for people like me who can't have it. The gal that helped us today was the kindest. We don't ice cream very often but if we do, I know where I'm going to get it. Looking forward to my next cutie scoop of goodness from this joint.

I popped into Stella’s late one afternoon on my way home from work, looking to treat myself with a pint of ice cream. I couldn’t decide between my usual go-to flavor of mint chocolate chip, or if I wanted to try something new. I wound up doing both and also got a pint of the All Nighter, a coffee-flavored ice cream. They even had peanut butter PUPsicles so I grabbed one of those for my dog. The gal at the counter (who was super helpful while I asked questions about the ice cream flavors) rang me up and I was on my way. I’m almost (but not entirely) embarrassed to admit that I didn’t make it home before I needed to try a bite of the ice cream. I was in standstill traffic, it was hot, and I had a spoon. Or so I thought. I was already committed at that point so I just took a little bite off the top of the opened pint. And another. And another. It was so good that I ate what I could reach without the use of a spoon, then I had to try the other flavor. Both were so good and creamy that I had to force myself to put the lids back on and save some for my husband. My dog is lucky I didn’t break into his pupsicle. Now to the pupsicle. I gave it to my dog as soon as I got home. His little mind was blown by the surprise treat and I sat on the floor with him, holding the pupsicle as he licked it. He didn’t stop until the ice cream was gone and once it was, he still had the cookie part to eat. He rated it 4 paws up and wants another. Pic is of my dog and the pupsicle; I wish I thought to take a picture of what I did to those pints while stuck in traffic. I will definitely be back to try all the flavors.

The Stella’s off of State Street in Boise is the best place to go for ice cream in the treasure valley! Before I even got my delicious treat, I walked in and instantly was blessed with smiling faces and a welcoming atmosphere. Even the inside smells like mouthwatering cookies, which I soon learned are baked in store everyday! 🤩 I was so impressed with the quality of the ice cream I got for such a great price! Pictured above is a single scoop of Rocky Road topped with a special marshmallow creme, chocolate sauce, and shaved almonds! 🤤It was so incredibly wonderful and you will definitely catch me back at this lovely ice cream shop!

I visited theState street Stella’s last week and had a negative experience. The store did not look very clean, but I figured it was just the end of the evening. I was not greeted until I said hello, nor asked what I wanted. I told the person that I wanted a milkshake: she simply repeated that twice. It seemed like I wasn’t getting anywhere so I said I would get ice cream from the freezer case. Meanwhile, the other worker hollered twice that the person I spoke with was on her first day. I paid for my items and the person taking my money just walked away after I paid. Long story short, I contacted the owner. He PROMPTLY replied and invited me to come back into the store. My husband and I did. The store was immaculate and service was top notch. I really appreciate such a quick response!...
