If I could give zero stars, I would. My family (4 people) and my friend’s family (4 people) came here for lunch on Saturday, April 5, at 12:30 PM. The restaurant wasn’t even busy when we arrived. I placed my order first, and my friend ordered right after me.
Then came the biggest mistake of the day—having to deal with the rude, clueless older woman with glasses at the counter. From the start, she seemed lost, overwhelmed, and completely unfit for the job. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt—big mistake.
She told me my food would take about 25 minutes. No problem. But guess what? My friend got all of his food while I didn’t even get a salad.
I asked about my order, and instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, she blamed the printer. Yes, you read that right—THE PRINTER. She gave me an attitude and kept repeating, “What do you want me to do? I can’t control the printer.” Excuse me?! Out of everyone in the restaurant, I was the ONLY one who didn’t get my food. Still the printer’s fault?
Here’s a thought: If you know your printer isn’t working, maybe double-check the orders instead of standing around looking clueless.
Then, instead of making things right, she smugly asked me, “Do you want me to resend the order and wait another 30 minutes or just get a refund?” Oh, so now it’s my problem? Wow.
I asked for a refund, and—just when I thought the incompetence couldn’t get worse—she refunded me LESS than what I originally paid. She couldn’t even count WITH A RECEIPT IN FRONT OF HER. Are you serious?!
This woman is a liability to the restaurant. She is rude, slow, unprofessional, and clearly not cut out for any job that involves basic customer service skills. She needs a new career—one where she doesn’t deal with people.
I wasted my time, I didn’t get to eat lunch, and I left frustrated instead of full. If management has any sense, they’ll get rid of her ASAP before she drives more customers away.

Read moreThis place was so good that we went there two days in a row. But as you see I only gave it four stars. The first night that we went, as we are in the pandemic, we took it to go. The pizza was delicious! Really good! It was just a simple pepperoni pizza, lots of cheese, with light sauce. The crust had a nice texture to it... really nice. The woman who waited on us was very pleasant and she included all the things we needed with our to go order, including parmesan, napkins forks etcetera. We're so happy with it we went back the next day. This time a very young man waited on us and we ordered a large salad as well as the same Pizza once again. He didn't include any of the things that you need in a to-go order especially when you're staying at a hotel and have nothing to work with there. And instead of a large salad, I'm pretty sure he gave us a small salad. If that was a large salad then they have missed named it. Anyway, the salad was nothing special in my opinion and the pizza didn't taste quite as good as it did the day before. Maybe that was just an unlucky day, but the waitstaff make a difference in the outcome of your meal and in this case the young man on our second experience just didn't do the things that he should have done although he was very polite and friendly. So my suggestion is, do come and get the pizza, it really is good. But be sure to check your order and make sure that you have everything you need...

The lasagna is as good as any I’ve had in the mountain. The issue is the attitude of either a woman owner or the manager (don’t know for sure which one she was I think owner). I felt like a was not being treated like a valuable customer, more like an inconvenience to her to take my order and place it on the counter for me. Here in Idyllwild most if not all the restaurants treat you well, make you feel welcomed and give great service This lady could learn better people skills. Since I left I have not returned nor will I ever go back, even though the prices are less than the competitors. I was insulted and she will never get another penny of my money.
