Mamma Mia Crepes and Desserts — Restaurant in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

Visited this establishment with my family of 5 on August 7, 1:30pm, and ended up leaving without being able to place our order because the employee at the counter was so horribly rude. It was unreal. I have no idea why she didn't like us. We waited at the counter to order while she stood there staring at us. She didn't greet us, smile, ask to help... just stood there silently, scowling at us. I started to try to place my order, but before I could speak she very nastily told me that they don't have any waffles or breakfast. I confirmed they have crepes and she rolled her eyes at me, like a toddler that hasn't had her nap. My 9 year old daughter asked for the key to the restroom and was told it's for customers only. We were literally standing at the counter, placing our order. My daughter said that we are customers, and then the very rude girl told her that she can't find the key. Clearly, she just didn't want to let her use the restroom and didn't want us to order. We have 3 very well-behaved kids, so I have no idea what the animosity was about. They were not bouncing off the walls or being crazy like I've seen with some families. The ruse girl's behavior was truly was out of nowhere and unexplainable. I asked if I could get in contact with an owner, and see told me to just write a review. Unfortunately, this leads me to believe that she is very confident that there will be no consequences for her bad behavior. The behavior was so egregious that the owner MUST be aware. Mamma Mia!!! Those are some excellent Crepes. The Bueno Crepe was excellent. I got the Lemon flavored crepe though and it was a huge letdown - all of the other crepes have a fusion of flavors and textures and the lemon was just a well cooked crepe with a lemony drizzle. I don't see it on the menu so it's maybe new or seasonal. Fortunately my family members took pity and shared with me so I could post this review and share my experience with The Google.

Dogs... While this is a pup friendly establishment there isn't much in the way of outside seating. A few tables on the Saturday am I was there. If ya got your furballs with you just get carryout and eat in the town square across the street or like some people do just go sit on the sidewalk. Mamma Mia reminds me why you should always keep your expectations low when eating out in the Mountains. The savory crepe was... sweet... And it wasn't a mistake. That was their take on a savory crepe. They had literally put a couple of spinach leaves into a sweet crepe, with some overly sweet balsamic on top. How this place has a rating over 4 is beyond my understanding. The atmosphere inside reminds me of a 3rd world restaurant. Hot, humid. The tables are sticky.
