The worse coffee we ever had. The cashier was nice, I wanted something pumpkin. He suggested pumpkin cream cold brew. It was so bitter, and dark. We even tried to sweeten it up with the sugar, but that didn't even help. I have never had to put sugar in any of my specialty coffee from anywhere else. I could not taste anything but bitter coffee. Absolutely not the color it should have been. I had a few sips and then threw it away. The barista was unfriendly, almost rude. This is the first time we went since the change. And definitely will not be coming back. Since I can't reply to your reply, yes I'm very positive what I ordered. My husband and myself order cold brew. The cashier said he can make anything we want. My husband wanted Carmel in his and I wanted something pumpkin. My husband got nauseous from it and had to do lots of walking for him to feel better. Now he's the type of person that will drink two energy drinks a day. So he's definitely used to the caffeine. We did not taste any flavor at all. And when the barista called the drinks, we had no idea it was ours, she just said two cold brews even though my name was on it. We know how it is with customers, so we both tried to cheer her up and say have a great day, and we got nothing. We treat ourselves now and then for specialty coffee. So driving up the mountain and being excited for our treat, because we have been there and thought that the coffee was awesome before the name change, was...
Read morePaid this coffee shop a visit on Sunday, January 26th. It was a busy day and the wait was long, so I did a lot of people watching. The counter is very short for the volume of beverages in queue and with one barista making drinks, one on register, another female helping with the food and a second female assisting labeling cups and grabbing pastries. She was trying to help.
What I was very grossed out and concerned about was that THAT young lady assisting the cashier and the barista kept adjusting her outfit, touching her hair and playing with her jewelry all the while cross contaminating all the cups she was touching. When I went back to the register to pick up a pastry the cashier forgot to add to my order, I asked him to grab the pastry because I didn’t want the female cross contaminating my pastry. When I addressed the situation they were VERY confused…so I’m assuming your employees don’t have food handler certificates or else they’d know that touching their hair and jewelry is not permissible.
After I paid for my banana bread we turned to exit and my daughter saw them laughing and smirking at us.
So be advised future patrons…your food and beverage may come with a complimentary side of dandruff…and you may not...
Read moreOk. I have come up to Idyllwild for over 30 years now. Maybe once or twice a year I am here and sometimes come to this coffee shop. Yes it has changed owners and a new name and a different look, but it is still a coffee shop. Now for the 1 and 2 star negative people; not much will ever please you guys. You are perfect people that expect everyone to cater to you because you come out of a perfect mold; or mold that is under a very dark place. Yes, sometimes people make mistakes on an order. A kind word turns away rath, just as it fixes a simple mistake. I am sure if you present yourself as a kind person, if that can be possible, they will respond in a positive way. The problem is usually not behind the counter, but what comes through the door to the counter. My wife and I ordered coffee and a pastry. Coffee and pastry were fine, bathroom was clean, sitting area inside and out were clean, staff was working hard with a lot of customers getting their orders in a timely manner. Yes, I did give a tip for all of you people with bad attitudes. Thank you...
