Atomic Cow Creamery — Restaurant in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

Very disappointed, came here with my family, we did have a very large order and they were busy, which i totally understand, how ever, just because your busy does not justify cutting corners when it comes to food health and safety. The girl at the front counter that wears the rainbow eye glasses, was cashiering getting drinks and handing out food. Unfortunetly they made a mistake on my order, we ordered 2 orders of onion rings in which we had to wait after getting our food, then the second mistake was they only cooked 1 order of missing onions rings, the 3rd mistake was after they dropped the second order of onions rings the girl in the front that was cashiering, goes to the fryer with out washing her hands or putting on gloves and reaches into the fryer basket to bag my 2nd order of missing onion rings, at this point my food is cold and im very irritated. When she brings them to the counter, i mentioned she touched my onion rings with her bare dirty hands and tried to give them to me, they then dropped another order of onion rings while we are sitting there with our colder food waiting on the rest. She pulls them immediately after dropping them into the fryer and hands them over. I did request a refund and Unfortunetly i am very disappointed. Like i said NO MATTER HOW BUSY YOU ARE, you NEVER EVER cut corners when it comes to health and safety. My burgers were raw, dripping juice in the bag everything was smashed together. My husband refused to even taste the burger because of the way it was put together and bagged. I was very very disappointed i will not be going back. I want to say the food was mediocre, but it was terrible. We ordered a grilled cheese with avocado and bacon, it was really greasy, not very tasty, and the bread parts that weren't grilled tasted like stale bread.My husband ordered a hamburger, but has a gluten sensitivity, so he ordered it without a bun, they said they would put everything is a bowl and make it like a salad. When he got his ordered, the girl said she forgot and asked my husband if she wanted him to fix it. That lost his trust (he didn't feel like being sick for the rest of day) and he declined and gave the burger to us. I don't know how you screw up a grilled cheese and a hamburger, but I could have made these items at home and they would have tasted better. My children wouldn't eat the tater totes or grilled cheese. The fries were the best tasting thing we got. The tater tots tasted like the fryer grease. My crew was here on assignment for a couple of weeks and tried multiple restaurants. This place has a pretty good menu The food is good. Kitchen staff seems a little overworked. Maybe could use a extra hand back there to get the food out a little faster but The wait times were not ridiculous. The shakes ice cream Dole whip cookies were all delicious. Their chicken sandwich was really good. Some of their hot subs Left the cruise a little bit on the disappointed side. They didn't taste bad it just wasn't what the crew was expecting I guess. I do recommend giving this place a try It is definitely worth it for its sweet treats. Again the chicken sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich for both really good. They do have breakfast options unfortunately they're not open early enough for us to ever give them a try so I do wish they would have opened a few hours earlier if they're going to...
