I would have given this restaurant 4 stars, as the food is of good quality. However, there is one very strange and annoying thing they do, which happened all 3 times that I went there. I love chips and salsa. It's something I look forward to when eating Mexican Cuisine. 98% of Mexican Restaurants bring out a basket of chips with salsa, with free refills. However, at Abelardo's, they act as if every corn chip is made of gold. They have a chip and salsa bar. Awesome. But the chips are placed in small paper food trays that hold maybe 4-5 chips. The idea seems to be that you take one. To make the equivalent of a regular basket of corn chips, you'd have to rob the bar of most of the trays, as there are usually only 6 or 8 of these available to serve everyone who might be eating there. The second time I went there, there were no chips at the chip bar. I asked them about it. They said they would bring some out. I waited. No chips. Our food eventually came. Still no chips. I go up and ask. This woman was carefully placing a few chips in each of these little paper food trays. She said she was working on it, but it took her more than 5 minutes to do this. The 3rd and final time I went there, I decided I was done with messing around and straight-up asked for a cheese sauce dip appetizer, thinking I would then get a bigger basket of chips. I totally respect a place like California Taco, where you have to order the basket of chips or order a large salsa or cheese sauce, which then comes with the basket of chips. Abelardo's waited to bring the cheese sauce out with the food. No chips. So, frustrated, I got up and went to the chip bar and emptied ALL of the paper trays into two trays just so I could (almost) get a regular amount of chips. I decided that was the last time I...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Alelardo's Mexican Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. As a Mexican cuisine enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for restaurants that can deliver an authentic and memorable experience, and Alelardo's did not disappoint.
The star of the show for me was their tacos. Bursting with flavor and perfectly seasoned, each bite was a symphony of Mexican spices and fresh ingredients. From the savory carne asada to the tender carnitas, every taco on their menu was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to traditional flavors.
Accompanying these delectable tacos was their homemade salsa, which was simply outstanding. Made with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and just the right amount of heat, it complemented the tacos beautifully and left me wanting more with every chip I dipped.
What truly set Alelardo's apart, however, was their exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
In conclusion, Alelardo's Mexican Restaurant exceeded my expectations on every level. With their amazing tacos, flavorful salsa, and unparalleled customer service, they have undoubtedly earned a spot as one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. If you're craving authentic Mexican cuisine served with a smile, look no further...
Read moreUnfortunately...never again. We visited this restaurant three times since it's been open. Good food, although both times the orders were missing minor items. No big deal at all ever with that. The restaurant was semi-busy both times and the people that helped us appeared to be newer. These things happen. Yesterday however was a different story. I always say "please, and "thank you"....and if I'm driving my husband's diesel truck, I turn the thing off so they can hear me clearly. There were two people stacked in the drive-thru and another pulled in front of me without placing an order, so apparently something was either missing or askew with their order. I ordered super nachos. They asked chicken or beef or... I responded "Chicken, please." I couldn't figure out what else we wanted therefore I told them that I was backing up to look at a sign of a special that they had implanted in the ground. (I couldn't recall what it was.) I pulled forward and advised what I wanted to order. They never returned to help me. I asked twice "Are you there?", however there was no response. Silence continued for perhaps two to three more minutes. I gave up. They did appear to look up at me as I passed the drive-thru window. There are many restaurant choices on Noland Road as well as other perfectly fine Mexican restaurants in the area. I found the employees' actions at this restaurant to be quite rude. We definitely...
