Many complaints of poor service lead to my question.. What was poor?
Your food is cooked to order AFTER you order it, have you ever ate cold fried food? Let alone kept warm or reheated? Odds are you want it hot and fresh.. I would; How many reviews are caused poor marks because of your patience? Call ahead.
My first visit here was about 30 minutes before close.. The gal at the counter stayed with me and made suggestions based on what I said I was looking for. I left with shrimp that was hot both ways.. Spice and temperature, I almost doubled back for more. The fish wasn't like I'm used to from other CD's, edible and warm yes, flavor and portion size no.
As for store cleanliness. All stores are scheduled tight. Its a gamble on no-shows. Many times it is hard to take a person off position to do it. Do the right thing if you see something for the trash and your going grab it too.. Likewise soda spill at the machine 30 extra seconds isn't going to distress your life.
Counter staff should be business first especially when customers are waiting. You want to chat with friends. Great. Do it while tidying the dining room. Two minutes chit chat just cost your employer more than $.25 which at ~18% labor of gross...
Read moreWe stopped in and needed a 12 piece meal, so we asked which meals had 12. We were told none of them. So we ordered the 10 piece and added 2 extra pieces. Our meal was given to us and I admit that I didn't dig through the bag to check on everything there. So when we got home to eat we realized that the 2 extra pieces were missing that we paid $4 extra dollars for simply because the staff didn't know the menu. I had already given my kids their food when I realized my meal was not complete. So when I called to complain, the manager on duty took our complaint and wanted the entire meal returned for replacement. I understand people complain all the time for free food, as I have managed restaurants before. But I just simply wanted what I ordered and paid for!! It's been 5 days since my experience and I have still had no response from management. There is so much competition in this area, I can't see how you can afford to chose to not respond. My family will not be returning to this restaurant due to lack of customer service and consideration. And I will be sure to share my experience with my work family that includes well over 400 people. Read moreUnfortunately for me, my wife is allergic to seafood... I mean anaphylactic shock allergic to Seafood! To the point she can't even smell it without it causing her respiratory problems! Admittedly ... I thought that part was all in her head until I actually saw it happen! Anyway that fact makes Captain D's sort of a guilty pleasure, So I don't get to go very often! Understandably when I do get to go I want it to be hot and fresh, and accurate! Nobody's perfect tho, and the last time I got to go, two weeks ago, they left a portion of my food out. I called back the manager, Chris, was very polite said he would write my name down and replace my meal. As I said that was 2 weeks ago. Tonight I came in, and not only did Chris take care of me, he remembered my name, and the situation from two weeks ago! He and Nicole G. happily replaced my meal, and even allowed me to sit down and eat after they had closed! Just before I was finished Chris even gave me a little extra just to let me know he appreciated my business! Great service and great food!
