I know this is a new location, and some adjustment is understandable, but this was the worst experience at chipotle I have ever had. Iâm actually writing this review while stuck in the parking lot. Due to a very inefficient design, when I pull out after getting my order I get funneled into the single lane line for the online order pickup window, and online orders are apparently 45 minutes behind so I am stuck!!! Why is there not street access or two lanes here all the way around? I already spent 25 minutes inside and now I will have to sit here for who knows how long. As for inside, there were about 20 people gathered at tables who I initially thought were patrons dining but realized they were all waiting on backed up online orders. There was virtually no one in the make line but they were out of everything. The kid making orders was clearly very new and had apparently never been to chipotle before because he was very slow and put incredibly small portions of everything on my bowl. I was told they couldnât make me a quesadilla because they would have to go over where the online orders were being made and they were busy, what? I ordered chips and salsa and was told they were out of chips. I had to wait 5 minutes for more steak to be cooked for a bowl but at least itâs fresh. The kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off. This may be a new location but itâs part of a massive national chain, they need to send capable and experienced management and some staff to this place to get everyone trained right and get it running efficiently. I donât blame the young folks working in there, they clearly need proper management and additional staff. This falls on Chipotle. I was very excited to see Independence was getting a Chipotle location and have left so disappointed after my first visit. I wonât be back for a while, hopefully this place improves. Update: Decided to try this location again & the food was good, but we sat at the Chipotlane for almost 5 minutes waiting to be Acknowledged by employees and the worker was standing in plain sight and still ignored us. Pathetic!
I love chipotle and I was so happy when this location was opened. I realize this store is new and itâs popular, but hereâs my thoughts on why I am giving them a low rating.. When my daughter and I order food we pick it up in the chipotlane because we donât like having to come inside to pick up our food. We like the convenience and the way the pickup window is supposed to work is only those that have placed a carryout order/mobile order are to use the Chipotlane. Whoever designed this location needs to be fired because the parking lot is ridiculously small making it hard for people to get in and out. On 1/5, we ordered food and it was amazing. Today 1/6, we ordered again and came to pick it up and sat in the parking lot for over an hour, another customer waiting in the line almost hit us because the parking lot is so small, and when we finally got to the window we sat there while over 6 employees pretended they didnât see us, and then when we finally got our food and came homeâŚwhat we ordered wasnât what we got!    Read moreThey weren't very busy, e families sitting at the tables eating and 3 families in line. They were rushing everyone through the line as if there were 30 people in line. I was telling the guy what to put on 2 burritos and my 8 year old daughter was telling the girl what to put on her burrito (I glaned over at my daughter to make sure that she was good ordering by herself, barbacoa burrito) since she usually gets a build your own. They started having me pay before my daughter's burrito was done being made (I should have stopped the transaction and made them wait but I didn't). I paid and by that time all 3 burritos were in the bag. We get down the road to pick up my son so we could eat together and my daughter's burrito was literally the size of my palm! The tortilla was wrapped around literally 3 times! It was literally 1/8th the size of the other two burritos (I understand she's 8, she usually eats her whole burrito that's normally as big as mine)!
