Edit: See the end for my most recent update and why I changed my star rating from 1 star to 5!
In the past two months I have tried several times to eat at this location. One time, the person on duty shared that they only had enough sauce to make one extra large pizza. Upon leaving and walking to my car this employee soon followed and locked the door. Fast forward to tonight and per the hours on the website the location should be open. It’s 9:22P on a Saturday night and the place is dark and no one is there. I like Snappy’s, I like their buffets, their pizza, and general offerings, but I’m not driving to Ft Wright when there are other food options in the area, including an abundance of pizza options.
Update: 6/11/19, 8:06P. Stopped next door to get gas and thought I would give Snappy Tomato Independence another try. Doors locked. Website states open until 10P. I’m done and my guess if they are closed earlier than 10P most days, then others in Independence are done, too, with the place.
Update 2: 7/29/19. This location is only open daily from 4-7PM daily. Folks, you have 3 hours to get your food from this location and by the looks of other reviews, even this is questionable.
Update:8/7/2020, 6:59P. Visited the location and it’s under new management and ownership. Talk about a 180 degree change! Staff couldn’t be any nicer and kind and the food back to the quality I remember. So glad it’s back open and I’m thrilled to give the location the stars it now deserves - 5 stars. Welcome back, Snappy...
Read moreDefinately didnt even earn a 1 star, but that was my lowest option. Placed an online order at 7:44pm, states would be delivered at 8:27pm. At 8:55, called stores to see where order was and a female answered the phone and when I asked the status of delivery all she could say was "well it's on its way" and then just sat on phone silent. So waited thinking pizza would be delivered soon since I live less than 5 minutes from the store. Well at 9:22pm finally delivered. When delivery driver was asked if pizza was hot, he replied "it should be" and went to walk away. I asked it should be or it is, he said "should be it's been in my car between other hot pizzas". Asked for how long and he said "only about 30 minutes". 30 minutes when I literally live less than 5 minutes away? Really? When I asked him if manager was aware of this, he said "you are more than welcome to call" and then walked to his car. Pizza was completely cold, but I knew it was pointless to call since when I called asking status I got no sincere response.
I usually dont order from snappy in independence because of issues in the past, but figured things may have changed since they had gotten new management. But as you can see still same poor customer service.
They send out coupons in mail, but yet dont accept them. They are on the simon kenton sports cards, but dont honor them either.
I will continue to drive to the Ft. Wright location to get better food and definately better...
Read moreI love their pizza, but this is far from the best Snappy's. For example, they do not take coupons and specials that other Snappy's offer and their customer service could be friendlier. It is disappointing because this one is much closer, but I rather drive to Fort Wright and get the buffet.
Update: I really want to like this location since it is close to us, but since they never accept their own coupons at this location I have forced to go elsewhere or another Snappy's. Hopefully they will start accept there own coupons soon before it is too late and since they are about to get a new competitor (Donatos) near them.
Update #2: I am going to have to accept we really don't have a Snappy Tomato Pizza in Independence. This place is just not customer friendly (Again they would not except their own coupon and employee just did not care). I had some high hopes with new management, but I think they are getting worse. This is the worst Snappy's we have been too. From now on I will have to either drive to Fort Wright or go to their competitor. Such ashame, but just can't support this location anymore.
Update #3 This Snappy's had closed for awhile and recently re-opened. We decided to go and see if there was improvement. Good News for us that there was this time around. Women working there was very nice and the Pizza was great. I updated the Stars to give them 2 Stars instead of 1 for this reason. I will continue to give them more Stars if...
