It was around 315pm, it took a good 10 minutes before anyone noticed I was at the register as they were all too busy chatting about their day, who did what to whom, etc. Meanwhile, the lobby and bathrooms were not clean, no paper towels in the women's bathroom, the dining area was not being taken care of. Trash on the floors, tables not wiped down, trash bins overflowing, workers on breaks just sitting wherever they wanted, not bothering to clean the dining area after their breaks were over. The drinking station needed refilled with ice, ketchup and trash to be cleaned off the counters, lids/straws needed restocking and floors mopped and tables wiped down. The food was less than desirable. I had a Quarter pounder w/cheese, no onions or ketchup. The burger itself was hot (I watched him cook my burger and plop it in the bun), it was very greasy and was plopped down on a stale bun with cheese slices on the bottom and top, 3 pickles piled on top of each other and get this... exactly 5 teeny, tiny drops of mustard on the top bun. Greasiest đ ever! And the đ, OMG obviously the bottom of the barrel, dry, salty, mega salty and cold. This franchise never ceases to amaze me and once again I'm reminded of why I stopped going there to begin with. Had I not been absolutely starving , I wouldn't have stopped, but my hangry attitude was growing so I did the unthinkable. And if you're asking, NO I did NOT eat the whole meal. 2 bites of đ and about 6 đ. Oh, did I mention the ONLY 2 things I didn't mention were the ONLY things they did right?? Large Coke and an apple pie to go. Management needs to buckle down on its staff, the younger kids need discipline, taught better work ethics and learn that voices and actions carry and can be seen/heard by the public and not everything personal needs to be discussed while in the public viewing areas. Work attire needs to be properly worn, NO CELLPHONES allowed on your person while on shift, uniforms should be clean, care about appearance as you are not just an employee, you're the face of McDonald's and your actions and words represent the franchise owner(s) and who you are. I know people say "oh they're just kids and it's their 1st job." This is where...
Read moreI have several issues with this location. I. There have been times when they allow me to complete my order and then tell me they're cash only. They've also allowed me to complete my order to tell me that they're closed (this happens around 5:45am), but all the lights will be on and workers are inside because the sign says "open 24 hours." II. The condiment area is typically dirty i.e. Ketchup spilled and not cleaned, straw wrappers laying around, lids scattered and used napkins left on the tables. III. Their ice cream machine seems to only work from 12pm - 4pm. After that, you're better off going to UDF. IV. Around 5:45am if you go through the drive-thru you're going to wait approx. 5 minutes for anyone to take your order. Even though there's glass all the way around the dining area, and the workers are typically seated in the booths and see cars pull around they take their time on getting to a register to take the order(s). V. Approx. 35% of the time they give us the wrong order or they forget something. VI. They claim to have breakfast all day so I ordered an item on their all day breakfast menu, and they told me they didn't have the Sausage Burrito. So I ordered another item, and they didn't have that either. Not sure what the point of all day breakfast is, if they don't have it...? VII. The last time I was there (Saturday morning around 6am). I ordered food for three people (8 sausage burritos, 2 large cokes and 1 water). I waited for 15 minutes at the second window with cars behind me. I could see inside and see two high school girls bullshitting with each other as I sat there waiting, and the guy that took my order randomly walked outside with a cardboard box to throw away.
If you can go somewhere else, do so. The service is horrible in the morning hours and during the evening the drive-thru is packed so you're going to be waiting (I've waited 25 minutes before). All together the service is horrible.
I only gave this place two stars because their cookies and...
Read moreSeriously the WORSE McDonaldâs in the ENTIRE Tri-State area! And really who hasnât been to a thirty different McDonaldâs in this area in their lifetime?! Iâm not trying to be a jerk. I have given this place multiple chances, because fast food is a HARD job. I did it way back when, itâs fast paced, utter chaos, & unfortunately there are individuals out there that are unnecessarily rude & look down on the workers. Itâs an honest living. Stop looking at these workers as beneath you. Sorry my soapbox.
Regardless, this place is a disaster!!! I consistently have to wait, correct my orders, & get food that is not even done correctly. I even literally today received a steak, egg, & cheese bagel that was not wrapped properly bleeding grease all over the bag onto my truck seat. (Which okay I have leather seats I can wipe it up, but that is not my point on the matter.) I burn more gas getting an order corrected or waiting than this food is even worth.
While I was sitting there (AGAIN because it is a usual thing to do here) this morning I was watching others pull into spots carrying their food back inside. So I KNOW I am not wrong or unreasonable.
Today was my last straw for this particular location. I will save money driving to Taylor Mill than trying to always straighten out the mess I get at the Independence location. If it wasnât for my 15 year old loving McDâs so much, Iâd actually be done with the whole franchise. Oh, what we do not do for our children. đ
I almost feel like they need to shut done for a couple of days, & get their stuff together. There is seriously some issues going on with...
