Edit: (I was never rude to any of your employees, all I said was when she told someone a 30’min wait I said “or maybe an hour” it’s not my issue that you have incorrect times on your site. Sorry that my recollection of the time frame was off. Overall from order to receiving the pizza was 47 mins. Still doesn’t make up for the service I received and even in your reply you make it seem like I’m the one who is being unreasonable. If your service isn’t working right don’t be trying to make it seem like my fault. All that on top of the pizza being over priced and terrible. Again yall aren’t ready. Sorry. ) Was not impressed. Decided to stop here on a whim Friday night. Ordered online. Said it would take about 40 mins I was like ok. Went to the store. Came back. They were busy it was Friday night. After waiting about 10 mins to be helped I then get told my order would be another 10 mins. So going on an hour wait now. Mind you I ordered 2 simple pepperoni pizzas. I come back in 10 mins later. Waiting another 5-10 for the front counter person to get off the phone and then take an order with customers. ONLY to be told again my order wasn’t ready yet. At this point I was about to walk out. I’ve been waiting for damn near 1.5 hrs for my food. Meanwhile the girl is telling people their orders would be 30 mins! I ask how long she looks back and says “he’s cutting them now” still took about 5 mins to cut the pizzas lol. Finally brings them up front. Starts to hand them to the wrong person till I spoke up. I take the pizzas and start to leave. Then the I assume owner is like “I was gonna say if you would have called I could have given you a better idea of time. Online doesn’t do accurate times” and I said what’s the point of online then? And walked out. How am I supposed to know calling is better? If online doesn’t work stop letting customers use it. Again I get it they were busy on a Friday night but come on 1.5+ hrs to get two pizzas is ridiculous. Finally get home and start to eat. And boy what a let down. I told myself. Well hopefully the pizza is good to make up for the terrible service! First off the pizzas are SMALL and expensive 20 bucks PER pizza for what’s essentially a personal pizza. This could maybe feed two people. The crust has absolutely no flavor. It was hard and overly chewy. The sauce was ok. It was about as basic as pizza can get. Def not worth 20 bucks. My family said the other pizza was as soggy in the middle. Idk what kinda outfit they got going on over there but yall ain’t ready for prime time. Sorry. If I could give a 0/5 I would. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but imo yall shouldn’t be in business yet. If the pizza was excellent it would be one thing. But to have terrible service. Long wait times. Over priced food and mediocre food. I just can’t not say anything. I will never go back there and will be telling everyone I know to avoid that place. I’d rather go to waremart and get a frozen...
Read moreSignificant other had heard about this authentic food truck on social media, and we finally decided to get out and give it a try. It's on the back side of Parallel 45 Brewery right beside the Post Office. We ordered the "3 slices get the 4th free" aka their Half Pie special; got the Grandma, Pepperoni, Upside Down and Meatball - the Meatball being a special right now.
Firstly, customer service was exceptional. The owner was extremely welcoming, polite, and socialable which was nice given it was a little chilly out! Looks and presentation wise - the pizza looked AMAZING. The picture doesn't do this pizza justice visually. Smelled otherworldly, just made your mouth salivate wanting to get a bite. We drove 20 minutes and the pizza held together excellently, with no integrity issues to the crust or the toppings.
Taste wise? Listen. There are only two other pizza joints in Oregon so far that we would highly recommend and are two different styles in of themselves. This place now is the third pizza place we'd highly recommend. Different style like the other two, but this is authentic NY style slices, incredible taste, incredible crust, just an amazing pie all around.
6 star pizza. Go here and try...
Read moreMy son and I stumbled across New York Squares pizza in Independence, Oregon. If you like pizza, you will absolutely go wild over New York Squares. In my 68 years on this planet, I have never had pizza this good. I know this sounds like hyperbole, but it was a revelation. The most delicious fresh ingredients, perfectly proportioned, and each bite just more mouthwatering than the last. Better than the pizza I had in NYC! The slices are big and incredibly satisfying. I tried their regular pizza, and I would be hard-pressed not to order it again, except that their large assortment of other variations look too tempting to pass up. The people who run it are delightful and the entire experience is wonderful. I rarely leave reviews, but this place is so over the top spectacular, that there are simply not enough good things to say about it. Worth a trip to Independence for a slice of New York Squares’s pizza alone! By the way, the town of Independence itself...
