My daughter and I came in for brunch. We were super excited. From the outside it was super cute and such a cool vibe. We came in and were seated. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to us. We watched as a couple seated after us was ordering. Our waiter finally came and he looked confused. He asked if anyone talked to us and we said no. He noticed we didn't even have waters. He apologized. We ordered pink lemonade for my daughter and a coffee with half and half for me. We waited another 10 minutes for the drinks. He never brought the half and half. I got up and went to the counter to request the half and half. The young lady said sure but never came back to me. I saw my waiter and mentioned the half and half. I left to sit down and he brought it after about another 10 minutes. We waited about an hour total for our food. The couple who ordered before us even tho they came after us, had already finished and paid before we got our food. All I ordered was 2 pancakes with hashbrowns and bacon. My daughter ordered scrambled eggs with crab and veggies. When we finally go our food, the hashbrowns were inedible as it was drowning in oil. The bacon tasted and had the texture of bacon dog treats. The pancakes were okay but cold. I took a few bites of everything and couldn't eat anymore leaving my plate pretty full. My daughter said hers was okay but tasted more fishy than crab. The waiter never came to check on us. I saw him and quickly asked for the check. We paid and i tipped the waiter still since he's just a kid likely doing his best without really any training or guidance. That place could be really good if they changed a few things. the waiter had mentioned the placee was haunted but never elaborated. Could have been a cool story. Won't be back but best of luck to them and I hope they...
Read moreAbsolutely delightful! My wife and I drove down from Salem to give it a try for a date morning. It's going to be our new favorite for a while.
First off, the service was great! Our server, Loren, treated us like individuals. Not the fake over-the-top friendliness you get at some places where the waiter acts like they want to be your best friend nor the polite-but-stressed type you get in a lot of places. She was really pleasant and attentive in an unobtrusive sort of way. For example, I ordered almond milk instead of cream for my coffee and she put a bit of tape with a label on the almond milk container so we wouldn't accidentally mix it up with my wife's cream that came in an identical container. Plus, when she brought my toast she remembered that I was lactose sensitive and didn't pre-butter it. I've never had a waitress pay that kind of attention to my needs.
The food was absolutely fantastic. Perfectly cooked. The menu wasn't particularly unusual, but it was solid and varied for a small cafe. My wife got the swiss cheese and herb frittata and I had the Mt. Angel sausage breakfast. We both loved our food and it was perfectly cooked. In particular, the fried potatoes were amazing. I never thought of us as potato snobs, but neither of us have ever been impressed by restaurant breakfast potatoes. They're always over or under cooked or strangely flavored. These were perfect. Slightly crispy and salty. The food was all fantastic without being greasy, which is an impressive feat for a breakfast that includes fried eggs, sausage, and fried potatoes.
The location was cute and cozy. We ate upstairs and had our little dining room to ourselves. All in all delightful. This is our new breakfast place, despite the 20 minute...
Read moreHad really high hopes for this place, I don’t usually write negative reviews but this is by far one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had. I ordered the mount angel sausage with a side of gravy and Cheddar broccoli soup. Plate of sausage and potatoes were cold, gravy was very bland, cheddar broccoli soup was very watery. I asked for the soup in a to-go container because I assumed I would eat the rest of my food and wanted to take something home, I tasted it while I was there and ultimately made the decision not to take it home. When it came to receiving the bill, they kept the cheddar broccoli soup on there and when I asked for them to take it off because it was bad, they reluctantly told me it was already in the trash because I sent it back and I’m glad my friends were there to stand up for me and have it removed because it was $10.75! I think it was very overpriced for very low quality food. Pretty confident most of it was frozen, not to mention my friend asked for green onions on her hashbrowns and they took it upon themselves to put regular onions in it instead and didn’t tell us until it was made that they didn’t have green onions. We were left waiting 15 minutes to order and took another 20 to get food out. I think they were training a new server and they seemed really busy with online orders but we felt pretty ignored and our original bill came out to over $80 for 3 people, and after the soup was reluctantly taken off it was still over $70. I will give this place some more time to ease the problems we encountered and may be back to change my review but we were all highly disappointed. This place has a lot of...
