Unfortunately, this place has become disorganized, inaccurate, and inconsistent. We order regularly from this restaurant, and it used to be consistently good. Last week, I called in an order on my way home from work. I arrived 30 minutes later, only to be told that they had forgotten to give my ticket to the kitchen after the waitress scrambled around frantically for several minutes. She told me she could have it ready in 10 minutes. I had just gotten off a long shift, and was running on minimal sleep, but I agreed to wait. 20 minutes later, she brought out the order. I took it outside to the bench in front of the restaurant to verify the order was right, and discovered they had missed a dish completely. I went back inside to tell the hostess this, and she said "Oh, sorry, I only charged you for one." I had told her on the phone we ordered 2 mango paradise dishes, and I repeated it to her again in person when I arrived to pick up my order. She said she could have the 2nd mistake fixed in "5 minutes."... As I was sitting and waiting, she approached me with a ticket and asked me to pay for the dish they had missed. I had been understanding and polite, but I was astonished that she was asking me to pay for the dish they missed, especially since it was now onto the 2nd mistake they had made with my order. She made it sound like they were going to give me the 2nd Mango Paradise dish that they had missed for free because of their mistake when I alerted them, so I was super confused. I told her that unfortunately, I would not be paying for the dish since we were now 2 mistakes deep and over an hour and 10 minutes since I called in the original order. She glared, walked away, and returned with my dish about 5 minutes later. I couldn't believe how this situation was handled. I'm not sure if she was new or just flustered, but I was very disappointed. We've spend hundreds at this restaurant since it opened. I explained what had happened to my fiance, and he didn't even want to eat the 2nd dish because he was afraid maybe something nefarious had been done to it.
Tonight, I gave them another chance and ordered through Doordash. We didn't receive any dipping sauce for our crab puff appetizer. I'm not sure what has changed with this restaurant as of late. The last few Doordash orders have had issues with either the dishes being watery and lacking flavor/spice when we order a 4 star spiciness level, or items have been missing. 2 orders ago we received a call from the restaurant saying they forgot to send an appetizer, which caused the poor dasher to have to return to the restaurant to retrieve it. We tipped her a 2nd time for Silk Thai's mistake. We miss the old, consistent, accurate Silk Thai. I'm very disappointed about our...

Last night, I went with my sister and brother-in-law to one of the Riverside Park concerts. We’re not from Independence, but when we stopped by this restaurant to get food to go, I was initially impressed — it looked beautiful and very clean. There weren’t many people inside when we arrived.
We went ahead and ordered our food to go. My sister and her family got the peanut chicken (I can’t remember the full name), two Thai teas, extra rice, sticky mango rice, and pot stickers. She originally said egg rolls, but I corrected her mid-order and clarified that she wanted pot stickers instead. The employee acknowledged this and removed the egg rolls.
Shortly after, the employee came back with only one Thai tea. My sister calmly said they had ordered two, but the employee argued, insisting only one was ordered. Rather than escalate, my sister just paid for the second tea again.
When their order came out, the mango sticky rice was missing. They reminded the employee, and she replied, “Oh, you wanted mango sticky rice?” I hadn't received my food yet, so I told them to go ahead to the concert while I waited for the missing item. When I reminded the employee again about the mango sticky rice, she argued, saying they never ordered it. I was standing right there when they clearly did.
Then my brother-in-law came back to retrieve something he forgot and politely asked if he could just re-order the mango with sauce on the side, since they had the rice. The employee told him no—he’d have to spend $10 again. So they had to repurchase food they already paid for, and it came in a Ziploc bag—which is completely unacceptable for hot food.
When I finally got my order and joined them at the concert, we realized the pot stickers were missing too. So to sum it up: rude customer service, arguing with paying customers, missing items, and questionable food packaging. The food was just okay, definitely not worth the hassle.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough...
