I like all the paintings on the wall; they are very pretty to look at. As for the foods, they are awesome. I ordered the five-piece takoyaki appetizers, and they came out hot; crispy on the outside and soft inside. I just wished they came with bonito flakes and nori or furikake. For the main dish, I tried the Bear Lover's rolls, and they were moderately spicy, mild enough to have a kick, but not too wild. My husband had the Kaizoku rolls, and they were fried perfectly. I would also recommend the Ramune soda! I love the orange-flavored one. We spent $42 total, including Cheerwine from the drink fountain.

👍 Good. Solid. Japanese. Food. I stumbled upon this place as I was getting an acai bowl 2 doors down. Well, I came back a couple weeks later and I'm 😊 glad that I did. The staff was very polite and very welcoming. They were very patient in telling me the different options that they have, because not only do they do the Japanese style of cooking on the grill, they have poke bowls, and 🍣 sushi too! The food was simply fresh, not overly seasoned, veggies still had a crunch because they didn't cook'em to death 😆, and establishment very clean. You can't ask for anything more.

I ordered a poke bowl tonight that came half full. The manager said it's because they used 32oz instead of 24oz because they are out... That's still not half. Then she said they've made a lot of bowls tonight without any problems. Great for those customers, assuming true and no one just didn't want to call, but that doesn't mean anything to me. She offered a credit where I have to call and give my name... She's writing it down.. Wonder if I order again if they'll remember. Wish I could add photos.

I’m writing this review as a customer for several years. My review is based solely off of their Poke Bowls because thats all I have gotten.

Over the years, I can confidently say the quality has declined dramatically. Portions used to be a lot more generous. They recently changed the size of the actual bowls to be significantly smaller. Even with the smaller bowls, they still dont fill them up all the way.

Also, the online system charges a $1 service fee for orders now. Didn’t used to be that way, what changed? Also there is an automatic 20% tip for online carryout orders (you can manually put in any other amount).

As I said, been a customer here for years and enjoy the bowls. With the increased fees and lower quality for portions, im going to be looking into other options in the area on a more frequent basis.

Edit: To ensure their bowls are no longer half full, they have changed the size of their bowls to be half the size as what they used to be.

I gave them a few more chances, but...

Let me just say....OMG!!!! I write this as I sit here CRAVING a Kiazoku (House) Burrito! We found Kiazoku this wk. He had the Pork Ramen Bowl Special & couldnt finish it! ONLY bc he was full as I reluctantly shared my burrito with him. Lol. So, I finished both mine AND his. And I don't eat much normally. Jap/Thai/Viet are our favorite cuisines & as a chef, I have had many worldly meals in my day. His most recent job travel was to Vietnam. For Asian food, this is as AUTHENTIC, FRESH & AWESOME as it gets! I just hope that Union Co. who normal prefer "troughs" (buffets) chocolate fountains, ANYthing "fast," fried, and/or buried in cheese, will at least TRY THIS! I just HATE to see this place fail all because people can stomach FRESH, HEALTHY food! Cost-wise, it's far LESS than Golden Corral or Papa John's & even faster than McDonald's! Check Groupon & the Monroe/ Union 2019 calendar...

Let me start by saying: Thank goodness Poke has come to Union County! Having said that. I'm worried that I'm the only one who knows what it is. I say this because I was here during what should have been lunch rush and it was just me. That's a shame because this is a nice clean facility, with simple decor.

I decided on a poke bowl and was able to choose 2 proteins. I went with regular tuna and spicy tuna on a mixed greens base. I added ginger, cucumber, sesame seeds and avocado & seaweed salad (add $1 each). I wasnt sure which sauce to have so they graciously provided me with small containers of each to figure it out. My bill was $13.82, which was reasonable in my experience. The tuna and fixings were fresh and the...
