Came here with a group of coworkers for a birthday party, because every single person in our party was not there at the exact same time, the staff refused to give us enough tables to seat everyone. They told us once they arrived they would give us more tables. A few friends were arriving within 20-30 minutes of us first sitting down. More and more people kept coming in and we kept asking for more tables because our friends were almost there..again we were told no. That only once they were there they would get us tables to put together. When the final members of our party arrived, there were no tables available so they were standing awkwardly to the side of our table waiting. The waitress told us they would have to wait till tables opened up for us.
We asked for the bills and called Culpeppers to see if they could take our group. We left Brunzies and went to Culpeppers up the road where they had a row of tables set up for us with pitchers of water and place settings waiting for us.
It's really a shame that Brunzies has such a ridiculous policy, they might be good for small groups if you all arrive at the exact same moment, that is. But definitely a no for bigger groups that every person isn't there at the exact same second.
They lost out on a $300+ table and an $80 tip for the waitress. Culpeppers was happy for our business and so was the waitress we had. We'll be going there for group dinners from now on.
*Side note...they do make a very delicious Dragons...
Read moreWe ate here recently when were in town for a basketball game at IHS. We were from out of town and asked a local parent for recommendations. She immediately suggested Brunzies. Party of 7 comprised of 5 adults, 2 teens coming from Pittsburgh and Johnstown. The menu was vast and accommodates a wide range of palates. Our waitress Theresa was exceptional. On a busy Saturday evening she was on top of our drinks, helpful in suggesting items from the menu and personalizing orders as needed. She was engaging and personable adding to our experience. We had a wide array of apps and entrees. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. The two teens even split cheesecake for dessert giving it two thumbs up.
The only things keeping me from giving 5 stars: the parking (small lot) - ended up paying for on street parking. Zero issue with paying but annoying to have to watch the time to keep the meter from running out. The men's restroom had the soap dispenser at an oddly high height and the towel dispenser wasn't working.
Overall, food was excellent, service was absolutely top notch, ability to seat us was almost immediate and it had a really cool vibe. I'd easily recommend Brunzies and definitely dine...
Read moreI ordered the four season salad to go. Was decent but I have two issues I’d like to address. Most important being, it’s stated that “fried chicken” is a part of this dish. What I received however was cut up breaded chicken tenders. Tasted like any other frozen chicken tender and were a little tendon-y. Very much not the same as fried chicken. Second issue was the price. It’s stated online in multiple places that it’s $12 when in actuality it’s $14. That’s a lot imo for some frozen chicken tenders on a bed of spring mix. I will say the other components were enjoyable and the apple pie vinaigrette it comes with was a nice blend of acidic with a tinge of sweet. Also want to add their fresh cut fries are some of the best I’ve ever had and love them with the queso cheese option. I got the salad and side of fries with a 2oz...
