Cottage Inn Pizza South Bend — Restaurant in Indiana

I love this place. It used to be my comfort food spot when I was in college up in northern Michigan and got me through a lot of depressing nights, ya know filing out FASFA forms and getting carpal tunnel from all the beer pong. So when they opened up a location in south bend I was pretty excited to relive my glory days, by buying way too much food and stuffing my face. It’s a little more expensive than other chains but the quality seems to be a lot better than your average pizza shack. If you don’t like the flavor or quality, guess what? They have several different amazing dipping sauces to choose from, so you can stomp out any bit of flavor you don’t like with an even better one. The garlic cream cheese and the ranch are some of what keeps me coming back, other than to see how fat I can get. The Roma pesto pizza is the GOAT. Couple that with the garlic cheese bread and you’ve got yourself a good time. I’m writing this review to inform the public of my experience with the employees of this particular location. I ordered a pizza last night around 7pm, estimated delivery was 7:47. It was then 8:15 and no sign of my pizza. I called them to see where my delivery was, and an employee explained to me that since they are short staffed they had to assign the delivery to door dash, and the dasher had stolen my order. The employee then offered to remake the pizza, which I accepted, and the remade pizza was delivered to me within 25 minutes of that phone call. I’m pretty sure they called in an employee who was off of work just to deliver that pizza to me. I was very pleased with the action that was taken to get my order (1 pizza) to me. I love the food here don’t get me wrong about that but last night I had called to order a pizza mind you I like having spicy crust and a nice garlic butter on the pizza itself. So I ordered my pizza with Cajun butter on the crust with garlic butter drizzle. The very first thing I hear from the guy on the phone is “are you sure you wanna do that I find it really weird” and I didn’t appreciate it but I let it go. Then before I hung up I ordered my bread sticks and asked for a large garlic cream cheese and yet again the worker says “are you sure you want that it already comes with a smaller cup of it.” I don’t appreciate being called weird and being asked are you sure because it just felt like I was being shamed for...
