My brother in law, my wife, my grandmother in law, and I attended this Denny's over the weekend. What a TREAT! The atmosphere was a little busy, but our server was killing it. The restaurant itself was clean and so was the women's bathroom. I ate the Bourbon Bacon Burger and it looked and tasted wonderful. I highly suggest trying it and or some of their good breakfast. I was the only one of the group to eat lunch food and the rest ate breakfast food. My coffee was just right and tasted great with a little sweetner and creamer. I also had cheddar cheese tots with my burger and those were okay. Our server was on point with everything and even checked in with us several times to make sure our drinks were full as well as that everything was going good. I didn't take a pic of my burger but I have to say that it looked even better in person rather than just on the menu. The atmosphere was comfortable enough to hear and have good conversation between all of us. Denny's on the Westside For the Win. I have to say that we will be going back. Grandma is 97 years old and this is where she picked to go. This is one of her favorite places and I totally underestimated Denny's after the wonderful customer service we had there. We can't always afford to eat out somewhere but Denny's prices makes good food affordable for all. I didn't catch the server's name but gotta say that if you go there I hope you get her because you will be pleased with your...
Read moreVery disappointed last time I came here. Denny’s has definitely gone down hill. Went here around 6 pm for reference.
My most recent experience: The Bad - • The booth seat was sunken in on both sides (first one to the left closest to the entrance doors) • A housefly kept bothering me and buzzing around my face and my food.
Food • The milkshake had spillage on the side and bottom of the cup, and I had to get extra napkins to clean it so my clothes wouldn’t get dirty. • I ordered a bacon avo burger without onions. The waitress hands me a bacon avo burger… with onions. She asked if I wanted the burger replaced, but I declined and asked for a plate so I could pick out the onions. The pickles too, after biting into one slice of them. Blegh. My appetite was ruined at this point. • The pancakes were flat and bland. The syrup didn’t help, it just tasted artificially sweet and unnaturally thickened. • The hash-browns were greasy and only the very edges had some crisp to it. The Good - • The eggs were just fine. Scrambled, moist and fluffy without cheese. • Waitress was nice but inattentive and tried to up-sale me with another milkshake. • My last experience here was pleasant at 1 am in the morning Saturday.
Conclusion: Either it’s a matter of time of day and day of week or Denny’s here has fell off. Either way,...
Read moreThis place has really gone downhill. It's dirty, the seats are so worn out they're not comfortable to sit in, the syrup bottles are sticky so you know they're not cleaned regularly, salt/pepper shakers are the same way. The service sucked. We sat ourselves down while the hostess talked with other employees for several minutes before bringing us menus, she told us to seat ourselves so she knew we were there. Our waitress never refilled drinks, never asked if we wanted refills, never checked on us once, she never even brought us our bill. The food was good except the bacon was way over cooked, I got a very small portion of eggs while my husband got a big portion, we ordered the same amount of eggs. I don't like that they switched to brioche bread for the French toast, it does not cook well or taste as good as regular or Texas toast bread. We have decided we will drive across town for Denny's from now on. The West side location has let us down the last 3 times we have been. I'm surprised I even went this last time since the time before my blueberry pancakes were uncooked in the middle twice. That time again the bottles were sticky and the restaurant just feels dirty. We used to love the West location, but we will not...
