Chile Verde Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Indianapolis

If I could give zero stars I would. The food is great, unfortunately the service doesn't even deserve one star. I don't write negative reviews but today's service crossed the line. We enjoyed lunch buffet. The server brought us water and looked as if in it was a great inconvenience for her to serve us even though we were the only guests at the restaurant at the time. She not once checked on us and seemed to be extremely rude, which wasn't the first time during our visit at the restaurant. Giving her the benefit of the doubt we finished our lunch and went ahead to pay, since the server was extremely rude to us I decided not to tip, which isn't in my nature. The grumpy server turned around to her friend showing her the receipt and made an extremely rude comment about not receiving a tip. Oi!!! I cannot tell you how impressed with Chile Verde I was. First, I've to confess that I had pretty low expectations. Not for any reason in particular, but simply the idea of a restaurant in a strip mall? Gosh, that sounds questionable. Their prices were quite reasonable, which is uncommon on the north side; everyone's taking advantage of inflation and jacking up their prices. I assumed this meant their quality was lacking... I. WAS. SO. VERY. INCORRECT!!!! Their carnitas were scrumptious and crispy; their quesadilla was a perfect balance of cheese, meat, and veg; and their tacos are pleasingly large. The chicken soup was not what I'd expected, but it was delicious all the same. Basically: 100/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

Came here tonight to enjoy a family member's BDAY. We came in and we were greeted , waitress took our drinks but gave us an attitude. Never once checked on us at all. Food was brought out by hostess. Cook was the only one who was checking on us. When it came time to pay, we had to let the waitress know that we were being overcharged and she decided to argue with us. Yet she then realized that we were right and just walked away. Then we were figuring out how much to tip and she was just standing over us waiting and decided to say in a rude way "TIP ISN'T INCLUDED". Overall the food was great but service was horrendous .
