Northside Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I really like coming to this place on Saturdays. The DJ is so adorable and was very pleasant to my guest. We made table reservations but our table wasn’t availabile. I brought in my aunt and couple of older mid 60’s group of women and she came to greet us. there was no seats to sit down, she gave us her chairs until our table was avail. Her music was on point and it catered to the crowd. We wasn’t sure of how the turn out would be because of the rumors we heard about the bar but my older crowd that came to party with me actually stayed all night! She got my older aunts drinks too make them comfortable, also asking what type of music did they like. My only negative thing to say is that the front male security guard was very rude upon entering the bar and not pleasant. He tried to hit on one of my friends and when she declined him he got a little snappy. I will still give this place 5 stars. Overall the bartenders were on point and the guy bartender had his bar tricks that were amazing. I love the slapping the tip money on his head. Over all the staff is amazing, the DJ is amazing, and the vibe was on point. I will be coming back and my aunts said they wanted to come with me!...

I wish I could give them a 0. You would think after all the bad publicity that this establishment has had on the news for multiple altercations & shootings. They could at least respect their customers. I haven't been here in awhile & decided to go to honor one of their loyal customers that had just passed away. I was nervous to go inside because I had never been in without seeing this person who loved to go here. I only ordered food to go. I passed the waitress my money & when I was about to receive my change she ignored my hand & threw the money on the counter. I responded that was rude. She stated I didn't think it was a big deal. The men at this establishment proceeded to call me derogatory names & tell me to get the F out. I was stunned. I could not believe that they would treat a customer this way as well as a female. I was crushed. I drove 45min to honor my friend who had just passed away. I'm writing this review because the owner/manager has yet to call me back so that they can review the cameras & see how their customers are being treated. Will never return & hope that people will stop mistreating people for no reason....

It's an alright neighborhood bar. There are definitely certain times to avoid like when it gets a pretty rough crowd hanging around outside on the weekend nights, but when it was RnR they had good wings. Make sure you know what a drink costs before you order and get them to repeat it back to you. I don't know if 'northside' is an entirely different bar or not but I do know it took them something like three months to paint over the shadows of the old letters. One would think that would take maybe an hour or two but I don't know lol. Like I said it's difficult to tell if it's same bar, just different owners, or if they're just trying to gloss over it's image and rebrand it in a.... snail's pace sort of way.
