I went to the subway today to give them good business. They only had one person working because the other person was training but that was fine. I had to wait 10 minutes in line while two others were ahead of me which was fine. Then an online order came when it was my turn to go but I understood so had to wait another 5 minutes for that. They finally got to me and said they were out of onion tomato and pepper jack. That was disappointing but substitutions can be made. In the middle of making my order another online order person came up so I did ask politely for them to finish my sandwich first since I had been waiting 15 minutes. The manager came out and RUDELY talk to me. She said very matter of fact how online orders come first and that she was trying to train. I mentioned my weight and that it would only be fair to finish my sandwiches first since they were already started. She had a major attitude as she told me that because only one person was working they had to do the online order first and I had to put my veggie part on hold. I had another order that had not been started yet and I asked if that one could be done first and she said no and that if I didn't like it I could go elsewhere and they would throw my sandwich away and she had no problem with that. I told her that was very poor customer service and she's told the person working the counter to throw away my sandwiches and cancel my order. SO THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE GOING TO THE SUBWAY BECAUSE THEY HAVE VERY POOR...
Read moreOne of the two tubs of lettuce was brown and wilted and the worker tried to put lettuce from that bin on my sandwich. I asked her to use the other one that was not wilted. She did so, but no one changed out the old lettuce. Then at the register I tried to use my rewards card for the $2 off coupon I earned. The cashier had me try swiping the card five times and could not get it to work. Then she proceeded to roll her eyes and ask for help from another staff member. The second girl then tried swiping my rewards one additional time. This still did not work and then she asked me to just insert my credit card. I responded no I have a $2 off coupon. Then a third member of their team came to the register and got my rewards to work on the first try. I believe that whoever is working the register should be proficient at their job. I don’t know anyone who has never been to one, I don’t frequent them a lot but when you are in a pinch and don’t want to pack in McDonald’s subway is a my go to choice! I had not been to the one next to my apartment complex so I stopped at that one, it’s surrounded by a number of other stores. Subway was very clean and well stocked. I was treated when I walked in, as you do at subways you work right down the assembly line as they construct your sandwich in front of you.
