Golden's Fish and Chicken — Restaurant in Indianapolis

WARNING: FOOD POISONING While working a brick repair job around the corner from this location, I had several lunches at this restaurant, and at first thought it was a decent enough place to eat... I was wrong. After trying their fish sandwich (the quality of which being significantly lower than previous meals) and not being able to eat more than a small portion of it due to an unpleasant taste, I became particularly ill. The sickness turned out to be good poisoning because of bad fish used in the meal. Upon recovering, I entered the establishment a few days later to discuss the incident with the single (and only, both counter and cook) worker who had served me the meal... Despite the fact that I maintained a reasonable demeanor and respectful tone when informing the individual who prepared and sold me the meal of my experience, he actually SMILED (!), shook his head and denied that it could have happened. Needless to say this incident, and the reaction and lack of respect I received upon informing the individual (who turned out to be management) is completely unacceptable.

DO NOT EAT FOOD THERE UNLESS YOU LIKE TAKING...

My usual experience at Goldens is wonderful. I always order the two piece tilapia dinner, fries, and butter cookies.

You guys knocked it out of the park today! I was telling my wife that these are the best french fries anywhere (and I've have them in the US from coast to coast, not to mention france and germany).

Six months ago (two stars): My usual experience at Goldens is wonderful. I always order the two piece tilapia dinner. This time the fries were soggy and without seasoning (Usually they ask if I want the lemon pepper seasoning and I say yes).

The tilapia was overcooked and mealy.

The tartar sauce was thin (They clearly changed who they order their tartar sauce from).

They did not have any butter cookies.

I will give you guys a few months to straighten things out, try you again, and...

Fairly new to the Indy area and still discovering new local restaurants. Tonight me and my husband wanted fried chicken salads. Specifically chose this place because it had all the veggies we wanted. We are sorely disappointed with our order. We ordered 3 Coca Colas and got Pepsi instead. That is the first complaint. The salad advertised having fried chicken, onion, tomato, cucumber, lettuce, and cheese. Nowhere did it say the cucumber would come in pickle form or that the salad had some vinegar mixture in it. Why even ask what kind of dressing we want? We ordered ranch so you can imagine how disgusting that was mixed with the vinegar mixture. We ate the chicken off the top and chunked the rest. The chicken was actually decent which is why they get 2 stars. Delivery of the food was quick thanks to door dash. Complete waste of $34!!!! Will not be a...
