Dant — Local services in Indianapolis

I've been visiting James Dant since their sixth anniversary party and I've left there impressed every time. Sometimes it's difficult for me to believe a store like this exists here in Indianapolis. James Dant first sparked my interest due to their selection of raw denim. The fact they're a stockist of brands such as; Naked and Famous, Indigofera, Freenote Cloth, Iron Heart, Japan Blue, and Momotaro is amazing! It's difficult to get these brands in Chicago, let alone anywhere else in the midwest. James Dant carrying these brands alone showcases a firm dedication and a great eye for quality and excellent products. James Dant carries a wide variety of products along with clothing. I've purchased shaving supplies here as well. Lastly, on par with their products their customer service has been excellent. I've shopped in store, done curbside pick-up and had products delivered to my home. I've spoken with both Tommy and Zach and they're both top-notch guys who know their stuff and are more than willing to answer questions and generally discuss anything. If you haven't shopped here, you owe it to yourself to at least give them a look and check out some of the best quality products...

If you have hair...Tommy sells Kent combs. This is not your back pocket comb from high school. Kent combs are hand cut and polished and in my opinion, one of the best combs you can buy. Hair combs, beard combs, combination combs...the first time you try a Kent will be the last time you'd consider using anything else.

If you have a beard...you really should try James Dant line of beard butter and oils. Created right there, he offers a variety of scents and wow...the beard butter is amazing. I got both in Explorer scent.

If you wear leather...Tommy also sells Otter Wax goods. Pick yourself up a starter kit and your shoes will look amazing. If you're looking for new leather for your feet, James Dant has you covered there too.

Tommy is extremely knowledgeable about all his goods, whether its one of his bespoke lines or something he carries from another craftsman. You'll need a good amount of wander time your first visit, but don't be worried. Tommy will be there to help you find...

This place carries really nice brands, the price was right on, and I’m all for supporting little companies whenever possible. I know they don’t control the shipping companies and ultimately it was my own fault for not reading/fully understanding their little shipping manifesto but it definitely took the starch out of the whole experience getting hosed down for 100$ by UPS on a 160$ order for an international package (to Canada) I can neither return or exchange.

It's funny, if google offered ratings out of 10, I would have given a 7 and anybody reading this would see that the company is fine, but just to be extra careful about shipping. However, after reading the response to this, as someone who works in luxury retail and have to ship internationally quite frequently, if your international buyers' experience is ultimately affected and hindered by a lack of return/exchange policy and is not straightforward or simple for your customers, then they will just shop elsewhere.
