Gregs Indy — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Kind of a dying place it seems. Wednesday nights are truly empty. One of the young bartenders is truly stuck up & his nasty attitude is written all over his face. I think they need to expand the dancing times. One of the drag queens came out one evening in pink shorts and clown makeup and was basically a huge joke and obviously just wanting tips. My tip is to be more serious because u are making the other real queens look bad with your knock off clown act. The people are very friendly and the bartenders are extremely courteous except for the one mentioned above. I think indy needs a new gay bar that is offering a little more than this. I'm surprised there isn't food. Overall rating would've been 5 stars but I can't get past the clown act and the extremely rude young bartender. There is too much drag.... There is no dancing on the dance floor till after 12am. By that time I'm heading home. I would suggest an earlier show or maybe every other weekend show. These shows are helping Greg's so I don't think they are bad. I think me and other patrons would like to be able to use the one gay bar with a dance floor be used for what it is meant to be used for. Sometimes the drag show go even later and the cleanup processes makes the dance floor open even later. I'm sorry to say that I've been going less and less because of this reason, and if I can't go there to do what I intended I'm going to take my money elsewhere. This is not intended to hurt or shame anyone. I just feel like it needs to be put out there, and that I am not the only one...

This is a great gay bar to go to, not many women though if you're lesbian. However, one of the barkeeps makes a MEAN Berry Cosmo, best one I ever had. My main complaint is hardly anyone dances outside of special events. I generally sit up stairs or in the pool room and enjoy that as it can be VERY crowded in the main bar. If you're looking for fresh air, they have an ally that runs the length of the bar that's well lit and even has a smoke shack with a heater.
