LiftOff Creamery — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I miss the “old” Lift Off. Since opening the IRV location, we usually visit that one, but I recently stopped by the remodeled location on 16th. The traffic flow was confusing, no one knew how or where to order, and the staff just let around 10 or so of us stand there in confusion until someone pointed to the very small sign at the register that said “Order Here.” If someone is at the register you can’t see it! It’s so silly! Put up a hanging sign, bright letters, please! Put signs on the case glass! And because anyone familiar with the old Lift Off knows you ordered at the ice cream case, the staff should naturally understand the confusion at the change of procedure. When we finally made our way to the register, despite being very busy with customers at the time, the cashier walked away for several minutes and no other staff member spoke to us. They were not friendly. And when witnessing other customers ask where to order, one staff member would not even make eye contact but point silently down to the register. Perhaps they’re tired of being asked. Understandable. But does not excuse a blasé attitude. All that being said, the ice cream is still good. Lots of options and clear labeling of...

Definitely earned their wings!!! What isn't to like? From first entry, we were greeted by extremely friendly staff. Staff asked if we were new, and when we confirmed it, provided us with decent information about the menu. Throughout our trip, they acted extremely kind, engaged us in friendly conversation, and really seemed to care about the customer. Now when it comes to the food, I couldn't resist sneaking a taste before we left, and it was an explosion of flavor. It was hard to wait until we got back to the car to eat. We sat there devouring this amazingly delicious with a generous amount of mix ins. My favorite flavor was canary. The cookie dough was filled with bites of cookie dough in almost every lick. The oreo actually had whole oreos mixed in. It was all delicious. We will definitely be back. We may have found a new regular ice cream...

Slowest service ever! We waited in line for 15 minutes to order, and there were only 2 guests in front of us. One such guest ahead of us had a pit bull-mix inside that wasn’t identified as an ESA, and it constantly kept barking and occasionally lunging at guests. Our shaved ice took 20 minutes to be served after ordering, and our milkshake was nowhere to be seen. After waiting another 5+ minutes and seeing other milkshakes being handed to guests who ordered AFTER us, I inquired. The cashier said he’d make it right away. However, he proceeded to take at least 2 more orders. I went back up and stated if my order hadn’t been started, I’d just like a refund. He said it was coming right up, which apparently means, almost 35 minutes after ordering. 50 minutes to order and receive a shaved ice and milkshake is ridiculous. No apologies from...
