Home Run Burgers & Fries — Restaurant in Indianapolis

First of all, I come into this place. You know, a new restaurant moves into the neighborhood. You want to check it out? I did complain to the manager whilst there. Here's what happened, though. There was a young kid working 1st day learning, not his fault. The other people that were in there. You know we had to explain what we wanted. 3 different times then when we got our food, we were wondering why it was so incredibly expensive. The fries were not done I ordered a fish sandwich got fish without the sandwich part. I took it back into the restaurant. They did not throw the fish away. They took the fish to the kitchen and took that fish and put it on a bun. That right there is not how you're supposed to redo someone's order. I was a waitress for 20 years. All these years later, I still run into people that remember me as their waitress. That is what true customer service is and quite frankly. Any restaurant the just reserves the same food when you're supposed to be re? Cooking it fresh for someone that alone should shut you down. This is not California. I do not expect to pay $17 for a hamburger or a fish sandwich that's insane they did try to Resolve the situation by giving me a 50% off coupon on a receipt. They just wrote it on the receipt, but I won't be returning to this place. So if anyone would like to go there you're more than welcome to have my coupon. Don't expect to get a shake or a sundae because they're always out of it.Truly I think they should have...

Recently deployed between the McDonalds and Walmart, this new burger joint has much going for it. The prices, from what I hear, are what's stopping people from making it a regular spot.

I myself felt the sting when I was ordering. Although, I'm always willing to give a place a shot.

They have a drive-thru, which makes their 'cook to order' burgers kind of a struggle when their staff is low. There was a couple in front of me placing an order, and I counted 3 times the woman taking their order had to iterate through her headset that she was extremely sorry but would be with those at the speaker in a just a moment. That being said, after I had placed my order, my food was to me in way less than 5 minutes.

I would say their service speed and burgers are similar to that of Steak N Shake, but slightly bigger patties. Mine was delicious! The fries are super crunchy. I got the cheesy fries with my meal because they weren't an upcharge and I was really happy with them.

It's quite a small space for the dining room, but the drink station is the main reason for this. Enjoy the free refills without having to ask for them.

We ordered online for pick up. The employee walked away after giving us our bag of food so I had to ask for the milkshake we ordered and the kids drink. We waited about 10 minutes for the milkshake (which was actually pretty good) Once we got home I saw that they had given me a black bean burger instead of a garden burger, the fries were somehow burnt and soggy at the same time. My husband couldn’t finish his burger because it was cold and tasted awful. My daughters grilled cheese was just a piece of American cheese slapped between two buns, and the onion rings were mushy. When my husband called to complain, the manager offered him a new free meal. He told her he did not want a free meal because the food is bad and we just wanted a refund. She said she would call him back after speaking with her manager. My husband asked if she needed his number and she said,”I have your number right here. Do you want me to write it down? Would that make you feel better?” It’s been over an hour and we have not received a call back.

Update** we got a call this evening and the gentleman was very nice. He explained it is a new staff and gave us a full refund and a credit for the future. We really appreciated that he went out of his way to try to...
