JUST JUDYS RESTAURANT I Shelley Judy’s daughter would like to reciprocate to a post that was made recently about our restaurant from: (Julia Scott 7 reviews·1 photo (3 days ago Julia Scott NEW Food is fine, ridiculous they charge two dollars for people to split a meal. They don't even put food on separate plates but charge you and are rude to customers who ask to split a mesl.) And If you have not been to Just Judys‘s restaurant We have been in business for over 30 years. Judy herself is your cook who works 80 to 100 hours a week she puts all of her time into her business. She has not only made it through Covid without the financial help that everyone else got. And now with the financial economic gouging of food prices is even harder to keep up with demand a purchasing products. Even with this Justjudys prices are the lowest in this town. The quantity of food that she received is enough to feed 2 to 3 people that is a fact that’s why so many enjoy splitting a meal as we don’t mind that meals are split. We ask a $2.15 split plate fee, where the food is divided evenly and for $10.00 or less minus a drink people share a meal fit for two. As the second person is getting a full meal for $2.15 versus a full price and still getting a complete meal. As we are breakfast place dominantly we are constantly fighting price gouging eggs was $26 a case every week their gouged $60 $70 and $80 case Is also gouged As everyone knows as they shop at the stores, but at a different quantity level. As you know, just Judy does not gouge her prices to compensate this price gouging, she has always kept her prices low to compensate her customers who she appreciates, and who are economically impacted in their homes. So I do believe that for $2.15 is not much to ask for one person to have a whole meal and to help keep our establishment open to serve our community that we enjoy very much. We appreciate all of our customers who have followed us for many years and the new ones that will come we welcome you.

If you are not willing to pay the $2.15 for a full meal, you are more than welcome to order a complete meal yourself Or there are several other restaurants that would love to have...

I used to come here years ago at least 4 times a month. 2 days ago was my first time coming here in about 5 years. Never had any issues before. I placed my order and wanted poached eggs over medium. Usually restaurants ask me how I want them. When the waitress brought my eggs, they were over easy, extremely runny, like soup. And she tried to tell me it was over medium and I told her it is definitely not. And she says yes they are and Judy WILL NOT REMAKE THEM FOR YOU. I just thought the comment was rude. I wasn’t rude or angry etc. I just know the difference from extremely runny eggs, and not so runny eggs etc. I just feel like it is not hard to be nice, understanding, and less attitude. I brought 2 friends with me who I convinced to try the food. They had never been there, and they saw that my eggs were wrong. I still tipped a nice tip and smiled. I’m sure I’ll be back, I just hope that next time is better and maybe I’ll get the experience I...

I have visited Just Judy’s at least 3 times and I have never been disappointed. I find the atmosphere to be cozy and comfortable. The staff is absolutely wonderful. My waitress was friendly and very courteous, but I noticed that the other waitresses were just as hospitable. I even saw the table busser opening the door for elders and helping one gentleman up out of his seat. There seemed to be a GENUINE regard for humanity and it was beautiful to see. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. The sausage gravy and biscuits, hash browns, fried eggs, pancakes, and ham I can all vouch for, but the food passing by going to other patrons looked just as yummy! The salads looked divine! I will definitely be going back on a regular. A big thank you to the staff for making it feel so cool to be there.

I have eaten at Just Judy's, next to Blind Owl Brewery at 62nd & Binford Blvd., 3 or 4 times with the most recent being Saturday, June 30, 2018. The food is good and the portion sizes are large relative to the prices. The staff always seems reasonably friendly in that "Flo-from-Mel's Diner" kinda way. :) Despite being about 8AM on a Saturday morning, surprisingly, there was no wait and a couple open tables. It's definitely a quaint place having just 10-12 tables inside and 4-5 tables outside on the sidewalk (providing breathtaking vistas of Binford Blvd. & Blind Owl Brewery). I had the Sirloin & Eggs daily special (see pic), which came with choice of bread and potatoes. I substituted the toms for pots though. All of that for only $9ish seemed quite reasonable. Enjoy!

Pulled in to eat around 10a on a Saturday to a line out the door. Seemed like a good sign that the food is worth the wait. We did not wait long as a party of 2 but I wouldn't advise coming here with more than 4 people. The one room restaurant is tiny and seating is tight. Coffee drinkers will enjoy that they leave a pot at your table for your convenience. I ordered Judy's plate. The portions are huge. Eggs, hash browns, and gravy all tasted fine but not a lot of flavor. I was most impressed with the bacon and biscuits. The bacon is crispy and great flavor. The biscuits are soft and fresh. The wait staff does a good job of checking on you.
