I met a friend here for brunch. She had never eaten Salvadoran food before, and I had only had it a few times. We asked what the waitress recommended, and she kindly and excitedly explained some of the best breakfast plates. My friend and I ordered and shared different pieces, each bite more delicious than the next. Cheese pupusa with cabbage and salsa - incredible. Pastelito with potato - insanely good. Chicken tamal - unlike any I had ever had - similar to the masa of a hallaca from Venezuela, if you’ve had those. Sour cream - unlike any I had ever had - sweet and creamy! Fresh cheese - out of this world. I could go on and on. It was amazing. I would definitely come back here. And there’s so MUCH food for a reasonable price! If I hadn’t just run 7 miles, I would have had at least another meal to take home. Warm, friendly atmosphere and good food....

Service is extremely slow, even if you call in your order ahead of time. We waited 30 minutes for casamiento (beans and rice) AFTER recieving the majority of our food. The pupusas were extremely dry and contained little to no cheese. Make sure to pass on getting the sopa de res. Besides the corn and the yuca being undercooked (hard), the "meat" was none existent. Instead, we received a lump of fat and bone to add to this disgrace of a soup. I can deal with bad food if accompanied by amazing service, but the servers could care less if you are happy with the service/food or not. However, you would need to find them first... Overall, I would not recommend this place. You are better off going to their Avon location which has both excellent...

The service is really bad an d rasit ,I called them to place a order, and I told them I was driving from Ohio was like 15 minutes from the place they asked me for my credit card to pay for I said I was driving the police was behind me and my wallet was on my back pocket, and I can take it off to give them my card numbers, so they don't want to take my order, so I'm stopping on la guanajuita, ,I pay and I wait like 40 minutes , and I saw ,some people call to place and order and the girls never asked them for the car like they ask me, was like 7 calls and anyone was ask for pay for the food til they arrived and some people has the order first than me ,, maybe because I'm not from salvador?? Btw isn not the first time...

The popusas here are great. The reason this place doesn't get 5 stars from me is because the service and wait time for food aren't the best. Should you decide to come here please be prepared to request your own refills and wait an extended amount of time for your food. Definitely not a quick bite place. I would recommend this place to someone that has plenty of time to eat and is ready to be left alone by the waitress.

Waited 40 minutes for a to go order. Tried to charge me more than listed. Wanted to charge me extra for hot sauce. I have never been to a restaurant that charges extra for hot sauce. Rice and Plátano frito was burned. Forgot the cream for tamales, forgot the sauce for pupousas. The wait and extra charges are ridiculous. I won’t be back.

It was my first time eating Pupusas, I must say that it was very pleasant to eat Salvadoran food in this place, super cozy, the server was very kind and very patient with me when I was asking her questions and asking for recommendations about the menu. very interesting place.
