Planet Fitness — Local services in Indianapolis

Good afternoon. My experience at the headquarters 5206 W 38 St Indianapolis IN 46254 planet fitness, has been unpleasant, on 09/25/2023 at around 4pm I arrived at the gym asking for help from the lady who was in customer service at the reception of the premises , to change my membership and become a black card user. this in order to take my son to the gym as a guest. It was supposed to be a pleasant experience, since it is the first time my son went to a gym, but it was quite the opposite. The lady who was in customer service did not pay attention to us and was also in a bad mood and addressing us with a bad attitude, it took us almost 1 hour to make the change in the membership because the lady in question ignored us (everything is recorded on camera ) When I was finally able to register my son as a guest, the lady was upset because I told her that this was the help I was asking for. I suggested that if she didn't like her job, she could leave it. The lady immediately told me that she wanted me to I left the premises and he refused me because I am a planet fitness customer and pay to use the facility. The lady in question called the police, claiming that Planet Fitness is a private property and she is in charge of that property and she does not want me to be there, just like that, the police showed up at the site and asked me in front of my son and all the people who were in the place, that I must vacate the facility since it is private property. I tried to explain what happened to the police and even though they agreed with me, they couldn't do anything other than ask me to vacate the place "because it is private property" and she is in charge. I told them that I agreed, but that I wanted a refund of my membership since it seems unfair to me that Planet Fitness charges me a monthly fee to use the facility and then they do not allow me entry to the premises, the police spoke with the lady from customer service telling her to talk to her supervisor since I was right, and the lady responds that there is no supervisor, that she is the only one in charge and she doesn't want me to be there. All this was happening under the eyes of my little son who was scared and the rest of the people who occupied the gym. Finally I had to leave there, no one is responsible for the money that Planet Fitness still charges me every month and I can't use the facility, my son is afraid to go back there... otherwise it happened to me at VASA FITNESS GYM, and in L.A. Fitness GYM where they treated me very cordially, with respect and even gave me a tour inside the place to show me all the...

UPDATE* Madison BREACHED MY CONTRACT AND (I have audio recording of both conversations oh and she hung up on me as well) cancelled my membership WITHOUT my signature and after I verbally told her I was not cancelling but going to a different location. (She wanted me to pay $10 late fee but the amounts didnt match upto what was in my app). I also tried to tell her that I have a contract with 10th street butshe has no desire to LISTEN AND RESOLVE. A location I did not feel decisions were made based on my color. She also called the police on me because I returned to gym after calling 10th street location to discover my acct was inactive(due to Madison). I asked for a copy of cancellation form and she refused and also sent police and lied stating I refused to leave. (I spoke with officer as well and she told me to call corporate) I literally said I wanted a copy and I'd leave. I guess the "Black woman being irate to the White woman"playbook was her aim as she has treated me as a hostile before. I kept my composure. I have reached out via email and tried to contact corporate & ABC Billing of this breach of contract & ridiculous charges with no response. Next step is an attorney. They also have been charging me miscellaneous late fees / double charges AND I had 2 active contracts with 2 different locations. WHO OWNS THIS GYM??? YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME ASAP. The gym is less clean and the hours seem to change every other week. The current staff is friendly. They also at least added hangers in the women's locker rooms as well. The gym is just in bad maintenance, some parts of floor have air bubbles, and equipment needs to be replaced. Only reason I have kept membership because I am able to go to any location (which is unfortunately ALWAYS out of my way) I guess the "urban"areas get the least quality and concern because I've been to other locations in the city and they were like...

Well, I have been to hundreds of Planet fitness gyms across the USA and been to Planet fitness gyms in Mexico. I hate to say this but this Planet fitness gym ranks in my top 4 worst & dirty Planet gyms that I have worked out in. It is crazy because they have a lot of new gym equipment and it is very spacious and air conditioned. However, the floors of the entire gym area has paper all over it and the Men locker room was the same and the showers (dirty) and the trash bin overflowing. I saw a male employee literally walked in the men's locker room while I was shaving ,.4 times to the back room and didn't hesitated to clean up the men's locker room or toilet areas. This was at 8:20am this morning. I finished working out at 10:15am and the men locker room was the same and the gym floor. There was only one person putting the weights away and trying to clean up the gym area and it was a Personal Trainer. All the other regular Planet fitness employees were MIA. Yes, this place is lacking cleaning. This falls on the Manager and needs to re-train the employees or rehire new employees and needs to set up micro management techniques on the employees because the current management style is definitely not working at this Planet fitness gym. But, the gym is new and it can be an excellent gym. I hope you heard me...from a former retired Combat Infantry (Ranger) Officer. I didn't want to post pictures because the previous pictures that you see on these reviews are really accurate. No more outside Men's bathroom on August 20th. I really wanted to speak to the Manager but it seems to be me...with all these negative reviews...it has fallen on deaf ears and nothing has been done about it. ...
