I had hoped for a nice meal somewhere I had not been. Spacious inside and friendly person greeted us. I did not realize that the 11.99 buffet did not come with the drink until she said 30+$ for 2. Wide range of food and arranged with enough space for the 10 buffet steam tables. The sushi was not very cold but ok. I thought most dishes had their own taste rather than all tasting the same. I had gotten a second plate as I got very small portions so I could taste more choices. I was very disappointed to see a cockroach crawling out from under my food on the plate. I called the server over and she apologized, took the plate and a napkin to crush the roach, and walked away. I was shocked that there was no offer to refund or anything at all. I waited a little bit and began writing this review. While doing so, I realized I couldn't say how much I spent because the receipt was sat on the table for them to bring drinks over while I was at buffet. Apparently the credit card receipt is taken at that time despite it being the customer copy and they have the signed copy at the register already. The server walked by a couple times and stopped after another time and asked if I wanted more Pepsi. Again, very disappointed as I thought that would have been an offer to refund or compensate in some way for a cockroach crawling out of my food! After Owner Response: FYI, before leaving, I stopped at the register, showed pics, restated what happened and the response and was told the receipt was for the server. I wanted my own copy and she searched for one to give me. Again, all I got was "Sorry" from her too despite saying the least would have been a refund or discount. When I got to the car, my guest was not feeling well. We got home and I vomited several times over the next couple hours and felt terrible for a couple days. I don't know if sushi was not cold enough or some other issue but that is not at all a normal response for me. The fact you were not aware until 7/4, I would think unacceptable as an owner. I made the server and hostess aware and remarked about the manager should be told. It makes it appear casual and a...

We went for a birthday since I had some mystery to go boxes that were discounted in the past. We went super excited and nope. Trash!! Everything looked like it had been sitting since lunch time and it was around 7 pm birthday girl went into a depression when everything was horrible and the hibachi Area was left unattended but the items sitting out were discolored.

The manager was away but happily took my phone call, he attempted to tell me that he would call the kitchen and tell them to refresh it all starting with the fried foods but it would take about 10 minutes. We waited over 15 and they only brought out one dish. So it was time to go. We had our of town guest with us it was the first time we all met but we left, I didn't get dinner that night it was a 45 minute ride to get there and now back, over thirty minutes there waiting so I grabbed a shower, water, and went to bed.

She felt like I named this restaurant to sabotage and ruin her bday because this was so horrible. We have not spoken since. They did give a refund but it took a while and the cashier told us despite not getting to eat or drink we would not be given a refund on the drinks. I pointed to the table and showed her they are still sitting there. We don't have to go cups so it's paying for it sitting on the table. They finally gave a refund and it ruined a friendship and a bday due to the death of the food long before we got there.

The chicken in a stick looked like a crouton on a stick. Everything was so dry and old. The sea food had turned. Out of the whole place we finally got some coconut chicken but everyone in the place was gathered around getting it and going to sit down. That's sad only one fresh thing in 30 minutes.

So the manager was nice but the staff in the kitchen makes me wonder if it is them or leadership that won't let them turn the pans over. Is it truly better to waste some food and make people happy or leave it and not cook more and get the horrible reviews from the wasted time, gas, bad memories, and customers not returning?!? I have no longer purchased food from them I won't go back. I was getting food twice a...

EDIT: I originally posted this review under Tappanyaki Buffett; but I guess they have a new listing under their new name PAGODA BUFFETT (It’s only right to leave the review under the new name as well.)

5/27/18 @ 8pm

Where do I start...Not much to choose from because most of the food trays were either empty or the food in them just looked old. The food I did get ended up being cold. The sesame chicken & the sweet & sour chicken was chewy; and cold. The dinner rolls were rock hard on the bottom. My sons french fries were cold. My daughter said the macaroni was nasty. Out of 3 small plates I probably only ate about a handful worth of food, and that was after they brought out a FEW fresh items. There was a huge wet stain on the ceiling to the point that it was sagging & leaking. Water actually dripped on my arm when I walked past. They have signs posted that children need to be accompanied by an adult when at the buffett but it was obviously being ignored because children were serving themselves. I even seen one little boy eat something off his plate with his hands, lick his finger clean then grab the utensils to scoop something else onto his plate. Grossed me out. The waitress made sure to grab our finished plates off the table but only refilled our drinks once; while they were still half full. Needless to say I ended up leaving irritated & hungry. I should have known it was going to be a bad experience due to the fact that when we first arrived the lady at the front with the braces basically thought I was trying to lie about my daughter's age just to get a cheaper price. (she's 10 & every bit of 5'4") When I asked about the kids prices & told her their ages she says, with an attitude "...she's 10yrs old..." As if I was lying. So I responded, with a similar attitude "...Umm, yes she is.." They also don't have any signs posted showing adult or children prices you have to either ask or wait till you get the receipt. All in all I was disappointed & we definitely will never go back. It's 10:46 & I'm...
