Over the past few years, I have visited this restaurant on countless occasions. Over the past year, the food quality as well as the service has gone extremely down hill. My experience this evening will undoubtedly be my last. After being seated, we waited roughly 15 minutes for our server to take our order. No drinks or chips yet. Amazingly enough, after he brought our drinks, we never saw him the rest of the meal. Our food was brought out by another server. Over the course of the next 45 minutes, not one single drink refill was offered, no chips or salsa refill, or even the usual "how is your meal" visit. After asking someone at the hostess stand for service, still nothing. There were items that were ordered that we never even received with our meal. 15 minutes after the hostess was notified and still nothing, we proceeded to go to try and receive or bill. At this time, when we brought our concerns to the waiter, he proceeded to argue with us about the service. Seriously? The kicker on this was at this time, he identified himself as the manager. I understand that the restaurant was busy, but this was completely uncalled for, not to mention the unprofessional and rude leadership at this establishment. To anyone who reads this review, please consider taking your business to Mi Tenampa. That is a much better option that is only a little further down the road. Never again will I visit this establishment. Eat here at...
Read moreMy husband and I dined in at approximately 4:30 p.m this afternoon. I must say, the service was terrible. We were provided chips and salsa upon arrival; however, we were not asked our drink order. Within fifteen minutes, my husband and I had finished our chips and salsa before the waiter returned to take our drink order. Our food arrived swiftly; however, our waiter did not stick around to see if we needed anything or if everything was to our satisfaction. We received no drink refill, no salsa refill, there were items we needed to go with our meal. As our waiter did not return, we requested the assistance of another waiter only to hear, “I’m not your waiter.” You heard correct, “I’m not your waiter.” My husband and I could not believe the lack of service. My husband had to go and retrieve a to go container as our waiter did not return. We prepared to go to the cashier as we waited and waited for a bill that did not arrive. I was extremely disappointed. The only positive interaction was a waiter who saw me carrying two items while waiting in line who kindly gave me a bag. For the record, the establishment was not yet busy, many tables empty. There was no excuse for the terrible service and we will not return to the La Hacienda located at 5625 Lawton...
Read moreThis review is strictly related to the menu pricing and the condition of the inside of the restaurant located on 56th street in Indianapolis, as we did not end up staying for dinner after seeing the outrageously overpriced menu. The seating is also very crowded and the decor was drab and depressing. As an example: the price for a chimichanga was at least $3 more than other restaurants in the Indianapolis area and did not include rice and beans. We ended up driving to the Riviera Maya on Crosspoint Boulevard instead, and were very pleased with the spacious seating, attractive and comfortable atmosphere (they had live music!), reasonable prices, and fantastic food. I ended up ordering a chimichanga, which included rice and beans, and was only $8.49.
The server at La Hacienda was VERY professional and courteous and I was very impressed with the way he handled the awkward situation. If you would consider lowering your prices to a more reasonable level, we will be more than willing to give your restaurant...
