The Manager at this location is who makes the difference. Manager John. I had to return from my home back to the restaurant due to a mess up with my order. I was not too thrilled about that and I was walking across the Culvers lot to go back in, John held the door open for me , like the gentleman that he is, and said, "Uh-oh, what's wrong?" in the most concerned and kind tone. I told him what happened and he went into action, tossing the old order out. The store was packed as well (testifies to their service and food quality) as usual, but John treated me with VIP service, moving me ahead of the other patrons. He not only personally fixed my meal, which was hot and fresh, he even added an extra chocolate shake and a free certificate to eat another meal on the house. In this days, it's so very rare to find someone who is passionate about their customers as John is and I wanted to take time to share my wonderful experience. For his service alone, my family and I will always return to Culvers on...
Read moreUnfortunately I can only give 3 stars due to my last visit. Once we received our order we noticed that we didn't have the custard and drink that comes with the kids meal. We summoned the gentleman and he quickly rectified it. Once we got home, we realized they also didn't give us the fries we paid for. Upon placing our order through the drive thru, we'd noticed the young lady was speaking very rapidly. I really like Culver's however it seems, just like every other great restaurant, that Culver's has lost it's authenticity. We ordered the shrimp box (small shrimp, mostly breading), to which we received no fries; cheeseburger, with bagged shredded lettuce (the worse!) and fries; my daughter ordered the chicken tender kids meal, no complaints from her. I am sure I will return, for their fries....
Read moreService was great. They answered my questions and did not rush me to make my menu selections. This is definitely appreciated.
Price is high. I am addicted to the cheese curds but 3.79 is exorbitant. I rarely leave with a bill lower than $9 and this is without including any of the custard options.
Most of the food I've had has been meh or just bad. The two fish sandwiches (cod and walleye) I tried were not great. The walleye was so greasy I ended up not eating it. The best thing about the cod was everything except the cod itself. The exception to this are the dairy products. This is clearly where Culver's shines. It's worth the occasional visit to try the different options.
I will likely go back to try some of the other food options. They have more than fish and I've heard their burgers are worth giving a try. I look forward to updating this review with a...
