This pizzeria is the epitome of NY Style Pizza. A crispy outer crust, and soft and chewy on the inside. This tasty crust held up very well to the toppings. Each pizza had the right amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The tomato dipping sauce was garlicky, and one can easily, at least I can, get addicted to it. We enjoyed the cheese, pepperoni, Buffalo chicken, Margherita, and white and Meat Lover rollover pizzas slices. Each was delicious, flavorful, and could easily be folded in half (as they do in NY). We also ordered and enjoyed the Pepperoni Roll and Garlic Breadsticks. I also had a nice conversation with the owner and found out he is from Long Island. He's perfected the craft of creating the perfect NY Style Thin Crust Pizza, and it shows. The inside looks exactly like the pizzeria I am used to visiting in NJ and NY. Manhattan Pizzeria is the best NY Style Pizzeria in Indianapolis.
An authentic and tasty version of NY style pizza and garlic knots. A crust that is thin enough crust to stand up to the toppings, and enough of a chew that it isn't a cracker texture. The garlic knots had a golden brown color and a good amount of garlic. It came with a cheesy nacho cheese and a garlicky tomato sauce.
Tonight I decided to order the cheese calzone. I've never had one at Manhattan Pizzeria, and I'm not sure why. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was fried not baked. It created a crispy exterior and a soft interior. It was chock full of Ricotta and Mozzarella cheese. The ricotta could have been...
Read moreIn a city with so many pizza options, this is not the place to go. They do not list the prices of their specials, and I assume it is because it changes so frequently and there’s no transparency in the pricing. For example, today I was told verbally the lunch specials were two slices of cheese pizza and a drink for 5.49 OR two slices of pepperoni and a drink for 7.49. Am I expected to believe that the amount of pepperonis on two slices of pizza is worth two additional dollars? I asked about the price of breadsticks and was told I could get three breadsticks for 3.95. Still expensive, but I ordered it. One minute later they said “sorry, I misspoke- it’s actually two breadsticks for 3.95.” Whatever, I already ordered it. “Would you like cheese with your breadsticks?” Sure, why not. When I get my order with the receipt in the box, I realize that I spent 3.95 on two breadsticks, and then an additional .95 on the cheese sauce. I spent FIVE DOLLARS on two breadsticks. Mind you, for 50 cents more, I could have gotten two slices of cheese pizza and a drink instead. The pricing here is just outrageous and the pizza wasn’t anything to write home about. Like i said, there are a lot of great pizza places in this city. Go somewhere else and get an entire delicious pizza for...

Slices, pasta. Sandwiches?
They've got it all, and it's rock-solid awesome!
I grew up in CA, then explored what this great country of our's has to offer, and I thought I knew pizza. I delivered enough for two years working my way through college.
That was until I lived on the East Coast for a few years.
Now I'm here in the Midwest, and there's a joint here that does NYC pies proud!
Slices? Calzones? Pasta?
They have a lot of menu items that are "off-menu", so don"t hesitate to ask if you don't see what you want!
Their Cheesecake and Tiramisu are 'top shelf'!
And the staff will try to make whatever you want, no matter how crazy!
I'm working up to them knowing a sandwich I love without me having to dictate every little aspect: Half the time I come in, the cook asks me if that's what... But I keep surprising him by trying new things.
That's customer service!
If you want to try something authentic NYC, and yummy at the same time, try out my preferred sandwich:
