I hadn't been to Le Peep in several years. The service was so bad, it was funny. Like we literally laughed at how rediculous the whole thing was after we left. I went today with my family to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant was half empty but not one of the 4 or 5 waitresses we saw would seat us. Wouldn't even acknowledge we were standing there. And there was no hostess. After 5 mins or so, I finally asked one if we could be seated outside. She said yes to seat ourselves and she would help us in just a few minutes. Of course another 10 mins went by. So I went inside to get menus at least. And the girl behind the counter was so flustered at me asking for a menu, she just tells me "oh, we are so busy today!!" Again, the restaurant is half empty. We wait another 10 mins for the waitress to finally come. She takes our order. She comes back with our coffees but no cream or sugar. Had to get that ourselves. Then she comes back with the food but no silverware. We wait and wait. And then she comes back with none! So we wait some more. Finally some other girl brings us silverware. Everything is cold by this point. I had to refill my coffee myself as well. We will def not be back. I don't see how they stay open if it's like this...
Read moreTook my spouse to breakfast. The restaurant is in a good spot being accessible from interstate within minutes. Even with a continual amount of customers, we were seated and served promptly. My food was prepped very well with regards to taste and presentation. I had a breakfast bowl along with a cup of hot chocolate. Both items, especially the hot chocolate was absolutely delicious. Recommend the hot chocolate as it was best for any restaurant I've eaten at. My spouse had a different experience.
My wife stated the french toast was niether warm/hot and did not taste very good. As a disclaimer, my wife is very particular about food prep, so she may scrutinize more criticality than the average person/customer.
Overall I would recommend this location as a good breakfast spot to eat. The only thing that did concern me was the waitress and manager were not able to provide a paid out receipt after I requested one when making payment for meal. The reason given was not clear to me and they initialed in handwriting a paid on cash notation. Odd a restaurant can not provide a receipt with accurate payment information. 🤔
Overall a good...
Read moreWe went to this specific Le Peep location for the first time for Easter brunch and surprisingly it wasn't slammed like the downtown location would've been. The food was great, the atmosphere was gentle, the only improvement would've been the speed of service, but I won't chalk that up as a usual trait (the one downtown is always on point). They have crayons for the little ones (or for little-at-heart ones) to color while waiting on the food which is always a plus. Overall a good experience and worth trying again in the future to see if the speed of service issue was just a fluke.
UPDATE! We went back recently and the service was just as slow, if not slower, than it was on Easter when it was busier. The waitress even forgot to put in our daughter's order so our food came out and hers didn't - you can imagine how well that went over with a 2 year old. So if you're not in a hurry (as in nowhere to be for the next 2 hours) then by all means go here. But if you're on any sort of time constraint then stay away. It's amazing how different this location is from the Downtown location (see my review for the...
