This shop has been open now for a couple of weeks, and I finally stopped in today. I was so pleasantly surprised by the overall selection of goodies that it was hard to make up my mind as to what I should purchase. I selected 2 different flavor donuts and an apple fritter. I forgot the blueberry cake, but may return for one at a later date.
I was so looking forward to this “new taste” in donuts, but now I have to admit that I am a little bit disappointed. The appearance and texture of all 3 items was lovely but something about the overall taste put me off. I cut off a small portion of all three items to eat – which, in total, was equivalent to about ½ of one donut.
Perhaps it is because I have a restricted diet and donuts have been a no-no for the past year. Perhaps it is because I do not eat any “junk food.” Perhaps I just need a little more snack food in my diet in order to appreciate these items. Whatever the reason, I found the taste to be somewhat off-putting.
I believe in patronizing local businesses. Several stores have opened on the East Washington Street corridor: Starbucks, Ace Hardware, GNC Vitamins, Foot Locker, Chik-Fil-A, etc. Pana people, PLEASE advertise more and let far-eastsiders know you are here. Panera Bread used to have a shop in this same location, but closed because of lack of business, i.e., little to no advertising.
As a far-eastside resident for more than 40 years, I am very happy to see new businesses open...
Read moreif you can’t tell by the heart in my chocolate syrup of my vanilla iced coffee… we LOVE Pana in this house 🥺🤍 their move to the east side has been most convenient for us and we’ve been 7 times since opening day! their customer service is top notch, they’re very knowledgeable, patient and especially inclusive of the kiddos! the dinning area here is a little larger in my opinion than the E Thompson Rd location which is nice when you’re wanting to sit and enjoy a quick bite or while waiting (minimally) for your barista drinks! Their speed and dedication to kindness with each customer is remarkable.
My personal favorite customer rep/ bakery assistant is the young man, whom has an amazing attitude, nice dark hair/ clean haircut. He is always so cheerful and goes out of his way when I’m indecisive to help me find what donut or pastry i’m curious of; even went the extra mile of allowing me a free sample of a donut we did not purchase in our dozen. Our family loves the wide array of flavors! Not to mention the donuts are ALWAYS fresh and fluffy!
We have yet to try lunch, the boba with milk tea or fruit tea and the smoothies. But we will definitely make our way around the menu! 😌
Thank you for bringing a small, family business with hospitality to our neck of the woods. We will be forever patrons! 🍩❤️
My only suggestion is, I’d love to see a pana rewards program in the future. Otherwise you guys are doing extraordinary! Definitely the best...
Read moreWe came in on a Sunday morning. I had the worst drink I’ve ever had in my entire life. I can’t seem to figure out how to add a video or photo into this review, so you’re just going to have to take my word for it. I ordered a cappuccino and… it was not a cappuccino. It was other worldly. It was straight molasses. It was like the remnants of an oil spill. It was like hot tar (I think you get the picture… I have a video of the drink. It’s like pouring actual slime out of a cup). I’m not sure if something was wrong with the machine they use, or if I got pranked, because it seemed like just straight up coffee sauce was put in my cup, but somehow thicker. You couldn’t even swallow it. There wasn’t a drop of coffee in my drink. I ordered some donuts and a breakfast sandwich. I’m never disappointed by the donuts—they’re some of my favorite ever! I’m also, usually, never disappointed with the service. However, the gal who helped me was quite rude. Maybe she was tired or stressed? I’m not sure, but I felt like she seemed irritated at me the entire time. So I’m seriously not sure what happened to my drink. I’ve ordered coffee and other drinks here before. They’re fine. I cannot stress how much this drink was like tar. So thick and gooey. It was kind of comical. But the...
